‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Star Chloe Sevigny and Kristen Stewart In Talks to Co-Star in Lizzie Borden Movie

American Horror Story: Hotel star Chloe Sevigny will reportedly be taking on another terrifying role, alongside Kristen Stewart, as the infamous Lizzie Borden, who was tried and acquitted for brutally murdering her father and stepmother with an ax in 1892.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that the two are currently in negotiations for the film, which will explore the events leading up to the night Borden allegedly murdered her father and stepmother in cold blood.

Sevigny was previously tapped to play the role in an HBO project that ended up fizzling out, but will get another chance to bring the alleged killer to life in the Naomi Despres (Kill the Messenger) produced film.

Stewart is reportedly in talks to play Bridget Sullivan, the Borden’s live-in maid. Sullivan testified at Lizzie’s trial, as she may have been present at the time of the murders. There were also rumors that Lizzie and Bridget may have been involved in a romantic relationship.

Pieter Van Hees will direct the film.

The tale of Lizzie Borden was most recently brought back in the form of a TV movie and mini-series on Lifetime, starring Christina Ricci as the titular character.
