David Tennant’s stare is usually a welcome sight, but when it comes to his role as Kilgrave in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, the last thing you want to do is get lost in those mysterious brown eyes.

The new motion poster features a look at different aspects of Kilgrave’s (aka Purple Man), including photos of Jessica Jones, a young frightened-looking child and a police officer’s silhouette, as they float by a very focused Kilgrave.

Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as the titular character who tries to start her life over as a private investigator focusing on assisting people with extraordinary abilities and rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective after her superhero career was tragically ended.

In the series, David Tennant’s Kilgrave is mysterious figure from Jessica’s past, whose appearance will send shockwaves through the former superhero’s world.

Take a look at the new motion poster below:

In addition to Ritter and Tennant, the series stars Mike Coulter (who will also star in Netflix’s series Marvel’s Luke Cage), Carrie Ann Moss (The Matrix), Eka Darville (The Originals) and Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy).

The series is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter) and Liz Friedman (Elementary), along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Smallville, Heroes), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones premieres November 20, 2015 at 12:01am PT on Netflix.
