Harry Potter Film Chosen For Royal Film Performance

The next installment in the HARRY POTTER film franchise has been chosen to feature at this year’s (08) Royal Film Performance.

The sixth part of the wizard series – Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince – will have its European premiere in November (08) in front of a member of the U.K. royal family.

The annual gala was canceled last year after the chosen film, Brick Lane, was deemed too controversial – after allegedly upsetting some members of London’s Asian community.

The Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, decided to cancel their appearance in a bid to stop any further upset – it was the first time the event had been scrapped since 1958.

Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are all expected to attend the Royal premiere in London.
