‘American Horror Story: Hotel,’ ‘Mr. Robot’ and More Land 2016 Golden Globe Nominations (Full List)

American Horror Story: Hotel, Mr. Robot, Fargo and more are among the 2016 Golden Globe nominations.

Angela Bassett, America Ferrera, Chloë Grace Moretz, Dennis Quaid, Miss Golden Globe Corinne Fox, HFPA president Lorenzo Soria, and Dick Clark Productions EVP Barry Adelman were all on hand to announce the nominees this morning and surprisingly enough the list covered a wide variety of projects, big and small.

Netflix leads the nominations from a network standpoint, with 8 total nods, while American Crime and Fargo are among top TV nominees, both with three nods each. The critically acclaimed film that stormed the festival circuit, Room, landed three nominations, but it’s Carol that leads the film categories with a total of 5 noms, including a Best Motion Picture nomination.

2016 Golden Globe Nominations

The Globes are widely held as a sort of Oscars-gauge, with the films that are usually nominated here landing nods at the biggest ceremony of the season, so film buffs will want to take note of all those nominated in the various movie categories if they want to get an idea of what to look forward to come February.

    1. TWD hasn’t gotten much love from the Golden Globes in the past – so I’m not surprised it didn’t this year either. Hard to say why – it definitely deserves some nominations!
