First ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Trailer Teases American Wizarding World

The first look at the American side of the wizarding world is here thanks to a new teaser trailer from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

In the first look, we see Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a magizoologist and keeper of a briefcase that that’s filled with magical creatures. Somehow some have escaped (wonder if it had anything to do with Scamander’s apparent inclination to peek inside of his case), and now Scamander must get them back before they can cause too much damage in a land that’s not too wizard-friendly.

The film takes place in 1926 (way before our Harry Potter heroes were even thought of) and marks the first time Warner Brothers has returned to J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world since 2011’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (although we know the diehard fans never actually left).

Even though the film is set in a new location, judging from the trailer, the same feel of the Harry Potter franchise is definitely still there.

Take a look at the mysterious first teaser for the film below!
