Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Baywatch’ to Film in Georgia

Zac Efron just can’t get enough of Georgia, so he’s heading back here to film Baywatch, and he’s bringing his buddy Dwayne Johnson with him!

Efron recently filmed Dirty Grandpa and Neighbors 2 in the state, and his next project, based on the hit 90s TV series, is reportedly scheduled to shoot in Savannah in 2016 (which will give us plenty more chances to see him shirtless, thanks to his character’s bodyguard status).

The comedy will follow a very serious and traditional lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young, rule-breaking hottie (Efron) in order to save their beach from an oil tycoon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) is set to direct.

Efron showed off his comedic chops opposite Seth Rogen in last year’s The Neighbors which solidified the fact that he can hold his own in the funny department, and Johnson is a notoriously silly guy, so we think the combo could turn out to be as refreshing as a walk on the beach!

Production is said to begin on the film in March 2016, so remember to keep your eyes peeled around then and send us any Johnson or Efron sightings so that we can include them in our filming roundups!
