Books-A-Million to Host Ultimate ‘Harry Potter’ Midnight Release Party

It’s almost here!! July 31 can’t come fast enough for fans of Harry Potter. The anticipated summer date marks the official script book release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts I & II, the theatrical eighth installment of JK Rowling’s best-selling Harry Potter series premiering as a play on London’s West End stage.

To celebrate the countdown, Books-A-Million locations across the country are hosting a midnight release party on July 30 for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! From a Sorting Hat ceremony, costume contest, Harry Potter trivia, a Marauder’s Map scavenger hunt, crafts and more, there’s no better way to celebrate the release of the new book!

“Since 1997, fans have been intrigued by Harry Potter and immersed themselves completely in the wizarding world; this book and release is no different! Getting the chance to re-enter J.K. Rowling’s fantasy world one more time is a treat that generations of Potter fans have been dreaming of since the last book launched in 2007.” Scott Kappler, the vice president of marketing for Books-A-Million, told FanBolt.

If you’re looking to attend the party, it kicks off at 2pm on July 30 at participating locations, and the official countdown party gets started at 9pm! The event is free to attend and open to the public. Only customers who have secured a pre-order voucher for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will have first access to their copy at midnight.
