‘Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween’ Takes Top Spot at Weekend Box Office
Tyler Perry’s latest film, Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween, took the top spot at the weekend box office bringing in $27.6 million. The film beat out Tom Cruise’s new flick Jack Reacher: Never Go Back by more than $4 million.
Don’t feel too bad for Cruise though, Jack Reacher took the top spot at the worldwide box office this weekend bringing in $54 million.
Third place was a success as well with Ouija: Origin of Evil. The film made $14 million for its opening weekend, and only cost $9 million to make. Coming in fourth this week was Ben Affleck’s Atlanta-filmed The Accountant with $14 million its second week, and rounding out the top five we had the movie adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling thriller, The Girl on a Train, which brought in $7.7 million in its third week.
Keeping Up with the Joneses debuted in a disappointing seventh bringing in $5.6 million.
