Brad Pitt May Be in ‘Sherlock’ Sequel

According to reports, Warner Bros. is already working on a sequel to Sherlock Holmes, which will open Christmas day. Kieran and Michele Mulroney (Justice League: Mortal) have been brought in to write the script. Producers have had discussions with Brad Pitt to play Moriarty, the nemesis of Sherlock Holmes. No deal has been made at this time. It was rumored back in August that Pitt could join the first film, but that was shot down by Warner Bros.

Sherlock Holmes will open on Christmas day, is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong, Eddie Marsan and Kelly Reilly.

  1. Can Brad Pitt do an English accent? Or maybe that’s not important nowadays. Personally, I’d rather see British actors portraying British characters. Nothing against Robert Downey, he’s a fine actor, but there’s lots of good British actors as well.
