Theatrical Releases for October 23rd

Amelia (PG), Drama – The story centers on pilot Amelia Earhart in the early stages of her career and how she is chosen to be the first female pilot to attempt the daring nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean. Stars Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, and Ewan McGregor.

Antichrist (NR), Drama – A couple mourning the loss of their child retreat to a cabin in the woods, where they soon encounter strange, terrifying occurrences. Stars Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Astro Boy (PG), Adventure, Animated – A young robot with incredible powers is endowed with super strength, x-ray vision, unbelievable speed and the ability to fly. Voices of Nicolas Cage, Freddie Highmore, and Donald Sutherland.

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant (PG-13), Fantasy, Adventure – Two boys who are best friends visit an illegal freak show, where an encounter with a vampire and a deadly spider forces them to make life-changing choices. Stars John C. Reilly and Salma Hayek.

Motherhood (PG-13), Comedy – A bittersweet comedy that distills the dilemmas of the maternal state (marriage, work, self, and not necessarily in that order) into the trials and tribulations of one pivotal day. Stars Uma Thurman and Anthony Edwards.

Ong Bak 2 (R), Action – This prequel takes Jaas skills to the next level, showcasing him as a master of a wide range of martial arts styles. Stars Tony Jaa and Sorapong Chatree.

Saw VI (R), Horror – Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D (PG), Fantasy, Animation – Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, stumbles upon the glorious magic of Christmas Town! Jack decides to bring this joyful holiday back to Halloween Town. But as his dream to fill Santa’s shoes unravels, it’s up to Sally, the rag doll who loves him, to stitch things back together. Voices of Catherine O’Hara and Paul Reubens.
