Zach Galifianakis Starring In ‘Town House’

According to reports, Galifianakis is once again signing on to play an ‘offbeat’ character in the long-awaited dramedy Town House. The film is being produced by Ridley and Tony Scott through their Fox-based Scott Free production banner. Galifianakis will play an agoraphobic man, who lives with his teenage son in a historic Boston townhouse that he inherited from his rock star father. With royalties from his father’s work dwindling, the man is forced to come to terms with his life, and along the way he strikes up a friendship with a call girl.

Amy Adams (Julie & Julia) has also signed on to the project. Although reports don’t indentify her role, it is assumed that she is going to play the call girl.

This project has been in the works for quite some time, with director John Carney (Once) on board to direct (and co-write) prior to the writer’s strike in 2007. There is no word yet on who will direct, as Fox 2000 has their eyes set on a summer 2010 shoot.
