Thornton Joins ‘Faster’

Billy Bob Thorton has signed on to co-star with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in ‘Faster’. Amy Baer, President and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Films, has made the official announcement on the casting. George Tillman Jr. (Men of Honor) will direct the film.

Faster follows an ex-con (Johnson) as he sets out to avenge his brother’s murder with a deadly to-do list. Trailed by a veteran cop (Thornton) and an egocentric hit man, he methodically races against time to bring those responsible to justice.

Casting for the hit man has not been announced.
