Kat Dennings To Join ‘Thor’

Natalie Portman recently spilled the beans that another actress will be joining the cast of Marvel’s ‘Thor’ for director Kenneth Branagh. According to Portman, who will star as Jane Foster, Kat Dennings (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) will be joining the cast in an undisclosed role. “I’m really excited,” Portman told reporters, “Kat Dennings is going to be in it with me and she’s a good friend and an amazing actress, so I’m looking forward to that.”

It is likely that Dennings will play another member of the hospital staff around nurse Jane Foster, who in the comics is employed by Dr. Donald Blake (the Earth identity of Thor). But nothing has yet been set, as this is the first we’re hearing about Dennings’ involvement.

Dennings not only joins Portman, but also Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and the trio of actors (Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson and Tadanobu Asano) named as The Warriors Three. The film begins shooting in mid-January.
