Paramount To Make John Hughes Script

Paramount Pictures has reportedly purchased the rights to ‘Grisby’s Go Broke’, a screenplay by the late John Hughes. ‘Grisby’s Go Broke’ is the story of a dysfunctional Chicago, Illinois family that loses all their money when the economy slumps. Paramount is looking for a writer/director to update the screenplay so that they can begin filming. Hughes passed away last year, and while he had quit Hollywood in 1994, the word is that he left behind boxes of notebooks and computer files containing many film ideas and screenplays.
