Scorsese May Return To Mobster Roots

At a recent press conference for ‘Shutter Island’ in Berlin, Martin Scorsese discussed that he may be making a new gangster flick with Robert DeNiro. Scorsese stated that it would be in that world, but “from the vantage point of older men looking back.” Scorsese did not elaborate further, but the film could be the previously announced ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ story, which is about mob hitman Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran. Scorsese and DeNiro have worked together in the gangster genre before, producing ‘Casino’, ‘Mean Streets’ and ‘GoodFellas.’
