Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Moving to 3D

The massive success of ‘Avatar’ has resulted in Hollywood fully embracing 3D, and Harry Potter is no exception. It looks like both parts of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ (the film will be split into two parts) will be converted to 3D. The movie was not shot in 3D, but the conversion process recently used on ‘Clash of the Titans’ apparently went well enough for Warner Bros. to do it on Potter too. The conversion process will add another $5 million in costs to each film.

Part 1 of ‘Deathly Hallows’ is due out November 19th, with Part 2 set for July 15th, 2011.
