Three years ago, JJ Abrams had a hidden trailer in ‘Transformers’, which turned out to be ‘Cloverfield’. Well, it sounds like he is at it again. Reports say that Abrams will have another secret trailer debut in front of ‘Iron Man 2’. Paramount has sent all the trailers for the movie in a locked mystery can, one that requires a special combination code to open which they will make available to theaters on Thursday. Paramount claims that this is to protect against piracy, but the film has already been released internationally.
The buzz is that the trailer will be for a project titled ‘Super 8’, which is supposed to be “at least thematically some sort of sequel to the 2008 monster movie Cloverfield.” The project has yet to film, and it is also said to be doubtful that Abrams will direct. ‘Cloverfield’ director Matt Reeves is currently working on ‘Let Me In’, but this could be his next project.
