Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) is said to be on the verge of signing a deal that would see him play Hawkeye in ‘The Avengers‘. A report has surfaced saying that Marvel has been after the star, although official sources within the studio would not even confirm there was a Hawkeye role.
