Two ‘Don Quixote’ Movies in the Works

Movie fans may know about Terry Gilliam’s ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’, which has been in the works for decades. A documentary about its long delays called ‘Lost In La Mancha’ was even made in 2002.

The most recent status of the film is that Robert Duvall and Ewan McGregor are both committed, but shooting hasn’t begun yet. And that might be a problem. It seems that Warner Bros. has their own Don Quixote movie in the works, helmed by producer Joel Silver. The word is the Warner version will be a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ style action movie.

This one could be a race now to see who gets their film out first.
