Russell Crowe to Play ‘The Equalizer’

According to a report, Russell Crowe has signed on to play Robert McCall, the lead role in a feature film adaptation of the late 80s CBS series ‘The Equalizer’.

Little was known about McCall in the TV show, except that he used to be a secret agent for an intelligence organisation and that he had an adult son from whom he was estranged. Although no studio has taken on the film, it has been shown to several and some have shown an interest. As yet, there is no script.
