Channing Tatum to Star in ‘Ion’

Channing Tatum (G.I. Joe) is attached to star in ‘Ion’, a new sci-fi film from 20th Century Fox. Ridley and Tony Scott will produce.

The script, written by Will Dunn, “revolves around a man who travels to different Earths and dimensions in order to find his reincarnated lover. Execs are using the magic word — Avatar — to describe the scope and otherworldly elements of the script.”

The ‘Ion’ script got little interest when it was shopped around before Avatar was released, but ended up getting a lot of attention after Avatar became a huge hit.
