‘Breaking Dawn’ Casts Renesmee Cullen

The much-anticipated answer to the question of who will play Breaking Dawn‘s Renesmee Cullen is here!

Mackenzie Foy, a newcomer who is best known for her television roles on shows FlashForward and ‘Til Death, has been confirmed to be the face of Edward and Bella’s child.

For Twilight fans, this is a relief. The horrid assumption that Renesmee Cullen would be acted out fully through CGI can now be laid to rest.

“Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy. She’s an amazing young actress and I’m excited to work with her,” states best-selling author of the Twilight saga Stephenie Meyer of the 9-year-old.

Similar special effects as David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button have also been confirmed to be used to help show Foy aging 17 years over the span of seven years. Younger actresses are also still an option for the role of ‘young’ Renesmee, though no word yet on whether or not any will be needed or cast.

Filming begins this November in Baton Rouge, La.
