James Cameron Possibly Directing 3-D ‘Cleopatra’ Starring Angelina Jolie

Reports are surfacing that James Cameron and Sony Pictures are in talks of directing a 3-D adaptation of Stacy Schiff’s book Cleopatra: A Life.

As if that isn’t news enough, during the production of the summer hit Salt, a certain superstar by the name of Angelina Jolie expressed serious interest in playing Cleo – if she finds the right team.

Jolie now tells E! News of the role, “I would be honored. I’m fascinated by her and the mystery…but we haven’t gotten a script yet, so we’ll see if something’s good enough and we’ll try and make it.”

Sony also happens to be Jolie’s go-to studio, and when asked what author Stacy Schiff thinks of Jolie playing her character, Schiff replied: “Physically, she’s the perfect look.”

This would be Cameron and Jolie’s first time working together if confirmed to take place. But Cameron and Jolie are both known for being very ‘direct and up-front’ while in work mode. Could the two clash?

Would you like to see this collabo happen?
