Martin Sheen Signs Up For New ‘Spider-Man’ Movie

Martin Sheen has signed on to play Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.

Columbia Pictures also confirmed that the film will also star The Social Network‘s Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger, Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans will portray the not-yet-revealed villain. Sally Field is currently in talks [but not yet confirmed] to take on the role of Aunt May.

Cameras are scheduled to begin rolling in December.

After the past few weeks, all I can say is finally; a headline that involves a different member of the Sheen family besides Charlie!
