‘Captain America’ Crushes ‘Transcendence’ at the Box Office

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has topped the box office for the third week in a row.

The superhero film, starring Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, took in $26.6 million over the Easter weekend, taking it’s three-week tally past the $200 million mark.

Animated movie Rio 2 comes in second with $22.5 million on its opening weekend.

Christian drama Heaven is for Real debuts at three with $21.5 million, ahead of Johnny Depp’s critically-savaged sci-fi thriller Transcendence, which enters the chart at four with a disappointing $11.1 million.

Rounding out the top five is horror spoof A Haunted House 2 with $9.1 million.
