Lindsey Lohan
Discussion open, and I have a feeling there will be many different opinions on this girl. I cannot remember the last time she had a good movie. I am not and never have been a fan of hers, which is why I am interested in fans or once fans' opinions of her life and acting career. The news on her case is crazy. I recently did some research on her and her life just seems to be going straight downhill. Remember when she was giving Duff a run for her money...seems so long ago now that Duff has completely outshined her. I understand people make mistakes, but this girl is making a lot of them while in the spotlight..and her parents arent exactly up for any parenting awards anytime soon. What makes it more interesting is that she is Twitter tweeting everything and downing big names on the business. Obviously she wants to be seen as a sex symbol but why? She had a great career. From what I know: she is in credit card debt and still spending, she has no high paying movie offer upcoming (she was actually dropped from one out of three in the making), she was (dont know if she still is) in the making of playing the role detailing the bio of an x-rated porn star, she had three chances with the courts and took advantage, and she has to surrender for ninety days jail and ninety days rehab July 20th. Anyone else got anything else recently going on in her life? I must admit, her tweets are quiet dramaticn her fathers' are worse. I just think Lilo is on a one way street to destruction and needs to stop now and save her career while she can and ditch her so-called friends who are leaking her life into the media. Please lets hope she doesn't pull a Paris Hilton and get out of her full sentence...it would do her good to show her what consequences really are and that she is not exempt. So...debate is open, what do you think of living Lohan these days? Is the girl just making mistakes, or is she really turning into a terrible role model...or do you still love her to pieces? I want to know!

I think her best and last great movie is Mean Girls, it's the only thing I'll remember her for to be honest as the movie is one of my all time favourites and never gets old. Since then, I've not seen her in anything that she's really shone in or done an amazing job, which is odd as she's got talent, I think she just doesn't use ti correctly these days.
It's a bad thing when you're more famous of having to go to jail than your movies, people are mainly going to remember her for her bad points rather than her movies if she carries on and at this point, unless she does something to turn herself around, it'll happen. I don't get her to be honest, I've never overly loved her, I've always thought Hilary was a better actress but Lindsey had better movie roles. But still, she did have talent and I saw one of her recent movies and she was pretty average. I admit, I enjoyed her character in Ugly Betty, she did well, but she's lost alot of support because of her personal life and it's not like she wants to keep her life personal so it makes it even more open. But saying that, I'm unsure of her still, I dunno whether she'll be able to turn this around or whether it's a one way street. It's not looking so good but man she needs help in my honest opinion, she seems to be on sabotage mode in her life.

The trailor for her new movie Machettie (sp?), is out. A nun on steroids licking a 44 magnum. Then there's the film she is still working on. The XXX biopic. I have no idea where her judgement is, but once these movies his DVD (as they both are not Box Office material), that's two big black marks on her career. And I don't think she will recover. The sheriff has ordered her out in seven to fourteen days already. Even on Twitter she's looking like a basketcase.

I apologize for the misspell of her name. Correct would be Lindsay not Lindsey. With that said, what do you guys think of all her fathers drama not conveniently out in the open at the time of her lockup? Supposedly there's a domestic violence charge with his now ex-fiance and supposedly he took pictures of her while sleeping and they've mysteriously began circling across the net worldwide. I think it is sad and shows just how unstable her family is. Her father trying to have his fifteen minutes of criminal fame while his daughter is locked up. Also, Samantha Ronson, Lindsays ex-girlfriend, has been confirmed to be visiting her. Is there something there again you think? I also think it's ridiculous that every time Lindsays receives mail, an item, or a visitor, a released inmate (who happened to have broken into Lohans house previously) stated the unit goes on lockdown. No. I don't think Lohan will learn anything from this.

Parent Trap is one of my favorite movies of the 90's. She had such promise at that age, sad to see what has happened to her since then, even though she kinda brought it on herself. Just cause her Dad is messed up, and her mom appears to me to be the stage mom typed, both of them use her for their own careers. Her dad is a general nutcase who needs to be ignored in my opinion, doesn't seem to care about any of his kids, if he did care, he would keep his trap shut. Same with her mom. I hate all the press going on and on about her Jail time and all that, I am beyond sick of it. I love my tabloid gossip, but this is major overkill, just don't wanna hear about it anymore. Last movie I liked of hers was Mean Girls. I don't know if she can recover from all the bad press, people don't take her seriously anymore.

I've not heard much about the whole Lindsay thing these past few weeks, I've been kind of obsessed about Big Brother in the UK, but from what I have read, heard, etc, hearing such stuff about her own father just solidifies my belief that her lack of stable parents have affected her more so than we could imagine. Both of her parents don't seem to be doing what's best for her and seem to be more concerned about keeping their own names in the public spotlight. It's quite sad really, she's not a bad actress, not from her earlier stuff, but she's not gonna be taken as seriously as she could IMO because of her background and the drama surrounding her.

I agree with both of you. Caribell and the oc rocks. While I don't think she is a bad actress, I think she is choosing terrible roles. While I'm unsure still if her mom wants to be in the spotlight or is just trying to draw negative attention from her daughter, I am sure that her choice to keep her father out of her life is the right one. Remember the tweets that Lindsay was living with a disease and this and that? How horrible to say about you're daughter (no, I don't believe he was hacked). I just don't see her changing. After rehab she will be back on probation and we will most likely see present history happen all over again.

You're most probably right, I can't see it getting better for her atm. Her dad out of her life is the only thing good I think atm, I hope she cleans herself up but I dunno if she can. She needs to stop trying to be so shocking in the papers and concentrate on doing what she loves.

I was voted biggest Lindsay Lohan fan here on Fanbolt back in the day, so i'm obviously a fan as you can tell. I liked Lindsay when I saw her in Parent Trap back in the day, but didn't become an actual huge fan until I heard her song, and saw the music video, for "Confessions of a Broken Heart" because that's when I realized how truly talented she is. I absolutely love her, and many of the movies that she's in.
I admit that her on-going trips to rehab are getting to be a bit ridiculous, and I do believe that she deserved to be in jail (and should have had to serve her entire sentence) but at the same time I can understand why she continues to go down a destructive road over and over again, seeing as how she has absolutely horrible parents. Does that excuse her behavior? no, but at the same time I come from a family history of addictive personalities, and have had many family members ruin their lives because of drugs and alcohol, and I have dealt with my own issues, so I know how hard it can be, especially if you don't have the support of your family members, as Lindsay obviously does not. Luckily I have an amazing family, so I can't imagine what it's like for Lindsay to have such terrible role models as parents and very little support. I hope the best for her, and I truly believe that she will eventually clean herself up and get back into movies, because it will be such a waste of talent if she doesn't. |

Hi Everyone! I know she is amazing actress and in future she will a great actress. Her movies are also so much splendid and she is so much talented actress now these days. But I don't like her so much. She is average for me.

Sadly, a part of me fears that she will become just another hollywood tragedy, a once bright star that burned out much too soon, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for her turning her life around and getting back on her feet.
Her parents truly sicken me. Everytime I see them on TV or in magazines talking about Lindsay I am disgusted. They are both fame and money hungry and In my opinion they will do anything, including using their daughter, to keep their family in the spotlight. Its just so sad, it really is |
