PM Problems

If you're having problems with PMs, either sending or recieving, there's a few things you can do.
One, check your settings in your profile options. There's a setting for accepting PMs. Make sure you have it set to be able to send and recieve them.
Two, if you're new, make sure you've activated your account. If you're listed as a registered user, cannot give reputation points, and cannot edit your signature, your account was not activated. You'll get an email with a link which you need to click on. If you didn't get the link, or you didn't click the link and the email is gone, just let me know, I can manually confirm your account.
Three, if none of that worked, please email me at bluecrush032687@hotmail.com with the subject 'FANBOLT PM PROBLEM' or IM me on AIM (juststrumaway) or MSN (bluecrush032687@hotmail.com) and let me know what's wrong. Make sure to clearly state who your are (name and username) and what's wrong (in detail) and I'll have it fixed within 24 hours.

It takes time. Some clubs, they don't accept you quickly. The Mods and Admins are pretty busy. But, don't worry. They'll accept you to the club. So don't worry. They never reject the applications. ;)

I don't anwser applications everyday.. Usually one everyone one-two weeks.. Your's will be processed within the next couple of days, and you'll get a PM from me if you're accepted.

Hey Chloe, I'd PM you with this, but I actually can't, same as I can't give reputation points, add a banner to my posts, I'm just listed as registered user, despite having notched up 300+ posts and I'm not listed on the users list as far as I can see. When I try and PM I get this:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.And I just don't even have the option to issue reputation points, all I have is the report a bad post exclamtion mark. Is there anything you can do to help with this one? Oh, also, I don't have the option to activate PM-ing within the User control panel.

You didn't get an email when you registered with Fanbolt? The email you registered with should automatically recieve an email from Fanbolt with a link you need to click in order to confirm your account.

If you didn't, it's no problem, I can manually confirm your account. Just let me know ;)

:lol: To be honest, it was way back in 2004, I don't really remember. Although I just scrolled back through my email account and there isn't one there, and as there are other account activation emails there from the same time, I'm guessing possibly not. If you could manually activate the account that would be absoloutly FANTASTIC!!! Thanks :bow:

My status currently shows that I have 1 unread message, but there is no unread message in my inbox. I think this is from when the website got hacked into last night..and everyone got sent those disturbing PM's...a little help :)

We had the pm problem... a few weeks ago I think? It wasn't a hack, just a spammer, only 10 pm's are so went out as we caught it pretty quick. That's most likely what it is. I'll check the accounts and see what I can do to get the pm accounts back to normal.

As far as downloading the pm's and the setting the color options in the post, it will be fixed next week I promise! :) Just hang in there!

you should be able to delete from the inbox view, over on the right side there's a box that you can check that will allow you to delete it.

yeah the screenshot that shows where the message in your inbox, so like the last page of your inbox, take the screenshot of that.
