BURBANK, CA (October 1, 2002) - After three airings, The WB's EVERWOOD has emerged as one of television's new hits and continues to prove itself as an excellent complement to the network's highest-rated show, 7TH HEAVEN.
In its third airing, EVERWOOD grew week-to-week in adults 18-34 (2.7/7, +8%), persons 12-34 (3.0/8, +3%), teens (4.0/12, +3%), women 18-34 (3.5/9, +25%), women 12-34 (4.0/11, +14%), male teens (2.8/8, +33%), women 18-49 (3.5/8, +21%). EVERWOOD ranked #2 in its time period in women 12-34 (4.0/11) and #1 in female teens (5.3/17).
Illustrating the show's compatibility with 7TH HEAVEN is its outstanding retention of 7TH HEAVEN's audience. EVERWOOD retained 81% of its lead-ins persons 12-34 audience, 79% of its adult 18-34 audience, 75% of its women 12-34 audience, 95% of its men 12-34 audience, 76% of its women 18-34 audience, 86% of its men 18-34 audience, 85% of its teen audience, 76% of its female teen audience, 79% of its 18-49 audience, 76% of its women 18-49 audience, 84% of its men 18-49 audience. EVERWOOD built on 7TH HEAVEN'S male teen audience (2.8/8 off a 2.5/8 or 112%).
7TH HEAVEN ranked #1 in its time period in women 12-34 (5.3/16), teens (6.1/20) and female teens (7.0/24). The hit series was also #2 in adults 18-34 (3.4/10), persons 12-34 (3/7/11), women 18-34 (4.6/14) and #3 in adults 18-49 (3.3/9), women 18-49 (4.6/13), household rating (5.5/9) and total viewers (8.5 million).
