Sexy things, sure. But also the kinds of jump-from-behind-the-bushes stuff that is a staple of scary movies in the theater — but are considered just too intense for TV.

Until the WB's latest dramatic series, "Supernatural."

In a black '67 Chevy Impala, the Winchester boys — Sam ( Jared Padalecki) and Dean ( Jensen Ackles) — are heading down the highway, looking for their missing dad. Along the way, they encounter and vanquish things that go bump in the night.

"We're making a low-budget horror movie every eight days," says series executive producer and writer Eric Kripke, who also wrote the scary movie "Boogeyman."

"Our goal is to provide a scary experience that's every bit as satisfying as anything that's in the theaters.

"In no way will we be a watered-down version of a feature film or anything that's dialed back, because — for this very good reason, and thank God it works in our genre and no other — the less you see, the scarier it is," he adds.
