Hey! I wanted to start a thread where all we scandinavians could talk. ever feel left out on the forums when theres a German thread, a thread for the UK or an Australian thread? Well. Ive solved that.. A SCANDINAVIAN thread!
If im terribly wrong by having it the tabloids, just tell me and I'll move it.:)

So to be Scandinavian, you have to be from either Norway, Sweden or Denmark. Even though Finland isn't exactly considered a Scandinavian country im letting you guys in since you were a part of it until the 1850s.

Its totally allowed to speak youre mother tongue, but you don't have to:)

Anybody thinks this is a good idea? let me know.. even if its a bad one, let me know:)

well Liz actually we said the words seperatly :lol: cause one swedish boy was like doing something on a side he wasnt alloved to and we was like "Neeej inte! Sluta! fel side" etc :lol: and he lived in the same hotel as us and everytime he walked past us we would go "va gulligt!" cause he was so adorable. He was like 5 I think.

Jeg bytter om til Norsk. Hvis det er noen som ikke forstår bare spør, eller så kan jeg helt sikkert bytte tilbake igjen. Husker engang en svenske som trodde banan på norsk var "gulbøy"

it means hello :wave:
and smörgås is sandwich... we don´t say koslig but we do say sött :)
I did learn some norwegian when i was in norway last year, but not much though :)

They mentioned norway on the simpsons! that is so cool. The beatles has one song called "norwegian wood" and in the famous parrot skecth in monty python, its a "norwegian blue parrot" , longing for the fjords lol:D:lol:

I understand danish kinda.. im not very good at understanding what theyre speaking but the danish words i totally understand its almost like norwegian. Norwegian was buildt up by danish..most of it.

well I live about 20 min away from denmark so I´m there quite often and that´s why `can understand it... and plus we have danish channels on TV :happy:
I think norwegian kinda is a mix between danish and swedish, mostly danish though :bgrin:

Liz(_86) I understand. I understand swedish better than danish cos we have swedish television channels and hear alot of swedish. So I understand almost everything. I feel like its another version. You get what I mean? Like we have nynorsk(a different version of the standard written norwegian) so were pretty used to different dialects.. Not that I think swedish as a dialect, just that its very similar to norwegian.

The big boobed stereotped swedish women on simpsons.. like I didn't see that coming.. and not all of the swedish are blonde! Its the same with norwegians!

ATM we have everwood and Veronica mars from TheWB. Thats whats airing now. Jack and Bobby too I think. But Gilmore Girls,The O.C, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Lost and Desperate housewives are on hiatus until the mid of november. Sweden are after us on Gilmore Girls, that I know of because I know a girl in sweden who watch it and this spring you where 3 or 4 episodes after us.

We have tons of shows now... the ones that are airing now that I watch are The O.C, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Alias, Desperate housewives, Everwood, What I like about you, 7th heaven, Charmed, all of the CSI, ER, Las Vegas, Joey, Medium, Scrubs, Will & Grace.
They have aired all of the episodes of Jack and Bobby , Gilmore Girls will be back soon (we are not much behind the US) and in Lost we are 2 weeks behind the US :)

Noen gutter i klassen kaller meg madde-leine.. sånn rett frem. de syntes det er veldig morsomt:lol: de sier det alltid med nordleningsdialekt:lol:

hehe alle sier jeg ligner på store søstra mi.. når jeg besøkte videregående hennes sa venna hennes at vi snakka likt og faktisk :lol:

ja jeg og Martine (venninna mi) er passe merkelige! alle kallenavna begynte med at vi skulle ut en tur.. hun spurte først "blir du med ut eller?" så sa jeg "Vi to!?" og hu vøttu bare " nei.. julenissen og satan!" så da endte det opp med at jeg ble julenissen (eller lissenissen) og hu ble Satan!

så bie historien... i gymmen hadde jeg en svart topp med rosa striper på og hu fikk jo lættis da når hu så den.. så hu begynte å kalle meg "rosa bie".. og siden hu hadde elefant tskjorte kaller jeg henne elefant :lol:

og vi er begge to reinsdyr.. siden en gang i sommerferien drev vi og kødda og sa vi skulle på audition for pluttipluttipott.. for å være reinsdyr.. så sto vi da på skytebanen og hoppa rundt og lekte reinsdyr.. og det var jo mange som gikk forbi (vi sto ganske høyt oppe, der hvor man driver og skyter) så det var akkurat som en scene!

(fra ken og Barbie) han har sleik, kritthvite tenner og er skikkelig mannlig(ikke pen) men veldig matcho hehe! og han er "ken":lol
så har vi en somgikk i klassen min før"slæsken" han var skikkelig slask med jobbeukse hele tia, når sa han ble sammen med en i den andre klassen , da ble det joggebukse forholdet! hehe jaja. men da er det mye enklere å baksnakke folk ute i "public" uten at noen vet det:lol: ja jeg vet vi er slemme!:lol:
