Old Thread (http://www.fanbolt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20810)

So, what does everyone think?? How long will this thread be here until we reach 150 replys again??

What a title! My vote went to one year, although I actually bet it'll take somewhere between a month and a year for us to make it through this thread. I must say, option #4 is also quite probable.

Jon

I took one year, though I'm sure some of us here may just post and post to make it go faster ;)

Well, since the last thread was around for over 9 months, I'm going with a year too

Poor Everwood. I hope it makes the cut for the shows CW is keeping. I really want to watch many seasons on DVD.

I vote a year too.

Hey owls!

WisteriaJ7

Jessica! My fellow night owl!!! It seems as if I haven't talked with you in forever. How are you doing? What's new in your life?

It seems to me as if the WB and UPN forming CW will be a death sentence for Everwood. I hope I'm wrong, though. We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't have much hope for the next couple seasons of Everwood to come out on DVD anytime soon. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to buying the fourth season of Boy Meets World on DVD. It was scheduled to come out on January 11th, but hasn't come out yet. Furthermore, the page about that item has disappeared from Amazon.com.

Hey Joy, We have not talked in a long, long while. I am okay. I am at a new college since we talked last. How about you?

I hate this idea of CW. It might kill Everwood...I agree. It is sad. I was hoping they put Everwood S2 on DVD soon after S1 but they never did.

Hey Jon!

It has a better chance than OTH though right?

Jon
01-25-2006, 10:20 PM
Everwood definitely has a better chance of staying than OTH. Heck right now I'm hearing rumblings that 7th Heaven may be back. If that happens, it'll hurt Everwood that much more. 7th Heaven is better than OTH and Everwood combined. Not saying in my opinion but to those who watch TV. It gets the best ratings of the three. If that doesn't happen, and we're comparing Everwood to OTH, it comes down to this. OTH is just another teen drama. Everwood has many things going for it, but the key? Everwood has the "X-factor" and that's having Greg Berlanti onboard.

jkupc
01-25-2006, 10:25 PM
7th Heaven gets better ratings than Everwood? Wow! I did not know that. I guess a lot of families tune in. That reminds me I started watching 7th Heaven on DVD and stopped I need to finish them.

Jon
01-25-2006, 10:28 PM
7th Heaven has some real high ratings....only reason why they cancelled it was because of $$$$.

WisteriaJ7
01-25-2006, 11:17 PM
It all comes down to the money, unfortunately. Thanks for checking to find out that the Boy Meets World DVD sets were not selling too well, Jon. That's really a shame. I was looking forward to watching the next season of Boy Meets World with one of my friends, as she hasn't seen any episodes of the show outside of the first three DVD sets. She needs to see Cory and Topanga get back together as a couple!

You're at a new college, Jessica? Cool. How do you find it? Me, I'm back at my university for another semester. I love it here. After attending a course at the local community college over the summer, I became even more thankful to be attending this Christian university. The environment is so different. Anyway, year two has been going well, so far. I'm doing really well in my courses (I made the Dean's List again last semester!), am the president of the International Students Association, and help out at my church with their Tuesday night children's program. I have a lot of coursework to do, but hang out with my friends in my free time. I'm still really close to the girls I was friends with last year, and have also become good friends with my podmates, and some of the freshmen, especially one particular guy.

Congrats on making the Dean's List. :) Also you are a president...That is so awesome. I am glad to hear you are doing so well. One particular guy huh? ;)

I wish sometimes I went to a Christian university. My university is okay so far. It is smaller than the one I was going to go to next year. I went to this one because of Hurricane Katrina. I am glad decided to come here because I think it has been good for me. I am more independent. ( I am away from home now) I have been doing good in school but not as good as I could if I studied more. Thanks for asking.

Cory & Topanga are awesome and my OTP on Boy Meets World.

I'm glad that your new college has been good for you, Jessica. It definitely can be a good experience attending college away from home. And, yes, I'm really good friends with one particular guy -- but that's all we are, just friends. Still, it's nice having a guy friend that I'm really close with (...even if I do like him).

I just had Shredded Wheat cereal and half a brownie for breakfast...

Hi Malin.

*falls into a trance* (Man, that brings back memories.)

Tania! I'm not so sure this OT thread is revived, but at least it's a little more active than the last thread was. *knock on wood* I guess we all just have other things going on in our lives and don't spend all day on Fanbolt anymore.

I get to baby-sit for two little girls tonight, and am looking forward to that. I've baby-sat them many times before, and they're so much fun. Last time I baby-sat them they turned me into a human tent pole.

Jon
01-27-2006, 04:04 PM
A human tent pole?

WisteriaJ7
01-27-2006, 09:46 PM
Yup! They said they wanted to use me as a human tent pole, and I agreed. They had me sit on the ground and covered me with a blanket, then crawled under it with me. It was fun!

I watched the movie The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride tonight while baby-sitting! None of us had seen the movie before, but the girls and I really liked it. It's so cute.

Jon
01-27-2006, 10:10 PM

What are your favourite Disney movies? Mine are Lady and the Tramp and Peter Pan (I and II).

Centerfinn
01-30-2006, 10:01 AM
Aww those are awesome but i´ll have to say The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas
sorry not got at spelling them after all im only 12

WisteriaJ7
01-30-2006, 10:05 AM
Oh, both those movies are good. I hadn't watched The Little Mermaid since I was a child, but it's my friend's favourite Disney movie, so her and I watched it together a couple months ago. It is so cute, and it was cool, 'cause several parts of the movie seemed new to me. As for Pocahontas, I haven't seen that movie since I was a child. I'll have to watch it again sometime. (And no problem on your spelling. You spelled both the movie titles right.)

Centerfinn
01-30-2006, 10:12 AM
Awesome i have like all Disney films on VHS but i almost never watch them

WisteriaJ7
01-30-2006, 11:44 AM
I only own one Disney movie, and that's Lady and the Tramp II. (Unless you want to count Lady and the Tramp and Mary Poppins, but they're both dubbed in Spanish.)

Jon
01-30-2006, 11:50 AM
Don't you own Princess Diaries as well as Tuck Everlasting, they're Disney ;)

WisteriaJ7

WisteriaJ7

I'm sure it is hot and sunny in California. It was funny on Saturday, one of my friends kept teasing me about how I'm ancient now (I just turned twenty). Then I commented that just two years ago, I was at the beach, enjoying the sun, seals, and palm trees. He responded, "Oh, great, now you're reminiscing about your younger years!"

Well, we had half a snow day today! Our morning classes were cancelled, but our afternoon and evening classes were still on. Still, it was nice being able to sleep in.

That's cool that you're from Sweden, Malin.

I love it here in Canada. It's cool, because I never really got to experience all four seasons until coming to university here.

You know what I realized? Yesterday marks my two year anniversary on the Everwood OT boards! I didn't really post much on Fanbolt until I first posted in the OT thread. It was the day after V-Day, and I was quite amused by Rob and Tania's Valentine routine, and was glad that I wasn't the only one single on that day. I became so addicted to posting in the OT forum. Wow...two years.

I am so heartbroken that Everwood is cancelled. I am sending in a letter saying I am. I know it might not help much but I can try.

Hey Joy!! I am good. I am home for part of the summer too. A nanny job huh? That should be fun mostly. I just thought of the Babysitter's Club books. Are you planning arts and crafts for them?

WisteriaJ7
05-26-2006, 10:12 PM
Hey, Jessica! My nanny job is only for two weeks while the mom recovers from surgery. The children are so sweet! The girl is two years old, and the little boy is nine months old. I planned a few crafts to make with the two year old while her little brother is napping, but there aren't too many crafts you can do with two year olds. I used to love the Babysitter's Club series. I think I've read almost all of them. I used to even have a "KidsKit."

What are yours summer plans, Jess?

My summer plans consist of lots of rest, reading, and helping my mom this summer.

Wow, I don't check this thread often. (...or any part of Fanbolt, for that matter.) How is everyone doing? Did you have a nice Christmas?

Wow, I totally forgot about this thread  Whoops! Sorry guys. Crazy thing; the ppl posting in here are all the ppl who were my first friends on FB: Joy, my big sis, Jon, who I haven't spoken to in like forever (remember me?), and Roger, I'm fairly sure we used to chat every now and again too :) Nice to see all you guys are still alive and well.

Joy, as to your question, I'm doing good, preparing to go home to Aus in 2 weeks. Everyone else?

That's cool that we're all your first friends from Fanbolt, little sis! But who in the world is Roger? *looks around*

I'm doing well. I had a wonderful Christmas! My parents and I went to my brother's house on Christmas Eve, and celebrated with his family. It was so great spending time with my nephew and niece! They helped me wrap gifts, we had Christmas dinner together, watched home videos, exchanged gifts, took pictures, and visited. It was just so nice spending time with my family. Then Christmas Day, I went with my mom to her work (at a board and care home for seniors) and helped her all day, spending time with the residents. I just love being back home with my family, and actually not having any schoolwork to do!

Edited to add: You're the magic 100th poster, Jaki. 49 posts to go!

There's no Roger? Damn...looks like my name remembering has gone dodgy again

Awww your Christmas sounds fabulous Joy, how old are your nephew and niece? Little kids are so cute at Christmas time :) It's really sweet that you went to help your mom at the seniors home too, I bet a lot of the residents appreciated the company. My Christmas was kinda weird, mostly because I'm still away in Switzerland, so I spent it with my host family and stuff which was nice, don't get me wrong, we sang carols and ate lots and stuff, but it kinda wasn't the same - I've been doing the same thing for Christmas my whole life, so that was kinda strange. But it was still good :)

Woohoo I always knew I was magical! Only 47 or something to go...

EDIT: So I just read the first post, which was done on Jan 19th this year, which means we have roughly 2 weeks and a bit to get the thread finished in a year  We can do it!!

WisteriaJ7
01-01-2007, 10:44 PM
No problem, Jon. Where did you go the past week?

Nope, there's no Roger, Jaki. There's a Rob, though. to Rob.

It definitely was a nice Christmas! Rachael is five, and Ryan is seven. They are way too cute. My mom and I spent Christmas Eve night at my brother's house, and he took us to the care home the next day. We slept in Ryan and Rachael's room. Rachael wanted to sleep with me, and so she did. She got excited when she saw my teddy bear that my Justin gave me last year, and said that he could sleep in between us. The residents definitely did appreciate the company on Christmas Day. It was tiring because my mom and I were both nonstop busy, but it was so worth it. I loved spending the entire day just helping others, you know?

I understand what you mean about your Christmas being weird, little sis. Even if the day was nice, it's still not the same as being with your family. I was that way at Thanksgiving. In Canada, they celebrate it a month early. It was great going to my boyfriend's house and celebrating Thanksgiving with him and his family. However, it was a month early! My friends and I also had a Thanksgiving dinner the weekend following Thanksgiving, but they just thought of it as a regular dinner rather than Thanksgiving. I so badly wanted to be with my family on Thanksgiving Day. But, hey, it was still fun being with my friends, and I'm home now!

I think we need a bit of magic to get this thread finished in the next nineteen days.

Just stopping by to say hi once again!

I was thinking about The Netherlands, which made me think about Marco, which made me decide to look at this OT thread.

EverwoodGirl22 -- I really like the banner in your signature! Did you make it yourself? It's so pretty!

Jessica -- Hello, Ms. Night Owl! I also miss being able to watch new episodes of Everwood, and how alive the OT threads were a few years ago.

How's everyone doing? Things are going pretty well here. I finished my third year of university. It was really busy with lots of schoolwork, but I also had many fun adventures with my friends. Now I'm home for the summer. It's really nice being back with my family. I'm just cherishing my time home, as this is the last summer before I graduate (woohoo!). Tomorrow my parents and I plan on going to a botanical gardens and to see some seals at the beach. It should be a fun day!

Hey Joy, Rob, Jon, Jessica and everyone else!! Was just checking Fanbolt again, for the first time in months, and then I read this...

I was thinking about The Netherlands, which made me think about Marco, which made me decide to look at this OT thread.

:D It's cool to know you thought of me!

And yes, Rob I just read your message... not quite sure though if we could ever get everyone back here. They should never have canceled Everwood back then... they were airing repeats during the summer on Dutch TV, and I watched it a couple of times. Man, I loved that show...

As for me, I had quite a good summer: the weather was not too good, but it was still fun. I went cycling as much as I could. Now I am back at the university, I just got a guest-lesson from an Israeli minister the other week... that was really cool! (you should have seen the security measures...) I am practicing again for the Christmas-musical from my church, I got the Joseph-part again! (did it last year too :), it's a different musical this year though). A month ago, I passed the exam for my driver's license, so now I can use my parent's car, that is really awesome!! :D

Anyway, Joy: I just wanted to wish you a very good last year on university! Enjoy it! And good luck with your exams!

havent been here in a long long time. i miss the show SO much. and i'd still like to know where the Kyle story was gonna end up. he was supposed to be in 10 episodes but only made 7. which brings me to my main reason for posting. does anyone know where i can get the fullversion of the short film "Club Soda" which Steven R. McQueen was a part of?

Yeah, having a driver's license really is cool. Its nice to be able to not have to depend on others to get you places :)

Lucky! I am always stressing these days. I know April is going to be killer as far as writing papers goes. I do graduate in December though. Then I'm off to graduate school.

Have you found one by now? lol It has been a while...

Rjm7272
02-25-2008, 06:50 PM
Nope, still looking.....and not very happy about it right now....I was led to believe by a former professor that I would be contacted about a position that I applied for at the university...but instead, I've just received an email from human resources saying that the position is filled....I figured the fact that I know everyone in the department where the job was that I would at least get an interview for it, and that's kinda what my professor led me to believe too....

grr.....

Well I think you just got here at a good time. It'll probably stop in a few weeks I bet. As for Joy, I'm pretty positive she's already gone through her wedding so I don't think it's "upcoming" any longer. And thank for, I am happy where I moved to.

I was just thinking about Fanbolt and the Everwood OT thread, so I thought I'd come see what was going on here. It's nice that so many of us oldies have stopped by to say hi the past couple months! I've thought about lots of you lately, wondering how you're doing. Thanks for the congratulations on my graduation and wedding, everyone. :)

Shirphie -- That's great that you finished your first year of university. Congratulations!

Jessica (fellow Night Owl!) -- It's wonderful that you'll be graduating soon, Jessica.

Marco -- What's new in your life? I hope you're doing well.

Jon -- That's great that you moved and that you like your new place. So you're living in Orange County?

Rob -- How did your interview go? I hope things are going well for you. I rediscovered Poppit last week and thought of you!

Jaki -- Hello, little sis! How are you? Last I heard from you, you were still in Switzerland on an exchange program.

I'll have to stop by here more often. One thing that deters me is the pop-up ads, which I hate. But I miss talking with you guys. It's been a long time since my last post! I still remember my first time posting here. It was Valentines Day of 2004 (my senior year of high school) and I talked with Rob and Tania. A lot has happened in our lives since then! It's partially thanks to Rob and Jon that I decided to move to Canada to attend university, and I'm so glad that I did.

As I mentioned in my previous post, May was a busy month for me. I graduated on May 3rd and got married on May 17th! My wedding day was wonderful. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was lots of fun. My husband Justin and I have been married six months now. I love married life! We plan on living here in Canada for another year, as Justin's finishing his fourth year of university. I'm working doing marketing for my dad's online business and occasionally babysitting. I'm still very involved with the children's programs at my church. I lead Sunday School each week and teach Junior Church once a month. I love the kids there! Other than that, I spend most of my time with my husband and friends.

WisteriaJ7

Nick -- It wasn't my day, it was my past six months. ;) Congratulations on your two year anniversary!

That's cool that you're living there now, Jon. Ah, Santa Ana winds! It's sad, but I actually miss them. I really miss California. I haven't been home to San Diego since last summer. This will be my first Christmas away from California (or, you know, Mexico!), which I know will be hard for me. Plane tickets are just so expensive. We hope to be able to go back there sometime next summer, though.

What do you guys have planned for Christmas? I'm really excited for Christmas! My husband and I plan on visiting his parents for a few days and spending Christmas with them. Then at some point during his Christmas vacation, we plan on visiting my sister and her family. I'm very excited for that! She's pregnant and due any day now with my new nephew. I'm looking forward to meeting him! Other than that, we'll spend the rest of the holidays here at home.

Jon
11-15-2008, 02:55 AM
I don't know what I have planned actually. Thanksgiving is coming up first which I plan to actually make up a whole meal. Then Christmas, well not really sure at this point, I know sounds like a sad Christmas.

Also for anyone out there if you want to create a new OT thread, just make it, and I'll take care of the rest.
