Scott Porter portrays Jason Street, Dillon High School’s star quarterback, who at the start of the season feels the weight of the world riding on his shoulders, in the NBC television drama “Friday Night Lights.”

Since relocating to New York City in 2005, Porter has starred in two Off-Broadway productions: “Altar Boyz” as Matthew (Drama League Ensemble Cast Nominee) and the award-winning “Toxic Audio” (Drama Desk Award, Most Unique Theatrical Experience).

Porter’s television credits include: “The Bedford Diaries,” “All My Children,” and “As the World Turns.” His film credits include the upcoming "Music and Lyrics By...,” starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, and the independent feature "Descent,” starring Rosario Dawson.

His birthday is July 14. He resides in New York.

I love this character! it was so sad when he was hurt playing! i feel so bad for him when his girlfriend Lyla is off kissing Tim behind his back while he's recoverying.

I really like Jason too he is a sweet guy you had a unfortunate accident,I was sad for him and his family when he was paralized. Lyla isn't acting like a very good Girlfriend kissing Tim,I know she is young but it doesn't make it right. That guy in the hospital was really mean but I am glad he pushed Jason that far so he could see that he is capable of getting better.

that guy at the rehab was an ass. but he pushed jason to move! i also hate how Lyla is screwing around with Tim and i hate that Tim is doing that to Jason.

I loved Jason, Lyla and Tim Road Trip but I did feel the triange without saying a word.

Time and Lyla did not kiss but the long hug made Jason painful aware something has happened between them.

I felt so bad for him while they were hugging outside of the Rehab!
If their going to be cheating behind Jasons back then they should do a better job at it, if they don't want to be caught.

Jason has a tuff road ahead but his anger is worrying me for his future storyline.

Jason getting the PEACE tattoo in sand script was brilliant because most tattoos are to make a change in your life or to commemorate a new chapter beginning or ending in your life.

Lyla was upset but it just showed how Jason and Lyla are growing up and are trying so hard to kling to the kids they used to be.

Jason speech to the team after they won states and Coach Taylor listening.

How proud he had to be.

Jason is going to be a great coach. The words he gave to the team were I am sure words that Coach had given to him since pee wee ball.

Randomly, I want to see Jason sing on the show. :lol: They could have karaoke night or something. Really, any excuse to get him to sing works for me.

I thought that Jason going to the coach was brave saying ridding Riggins is not going to make him a better player. I did not like the truth but the coach was being straight up with Jason. You can not be there friend and a coach. Decide... you can be a mascot wheel out there every week on the field or Jason can be a coach.

I think there will definitely be a struggle for Jason to decide what he's going to do. This is his team, so I think already it's going to be hard to be an authority figure to them, especially with someone like Tim who is his best friend. I think with Coach Taylor it wouldn't be as hard because the fact that he was ON the team with them gives him insight into them as players, and Taylor would understand that. (Didn't he have Jason help out Matt at one point or am I remembering wrong?) But the new Coach is a hard ass who seems to be stuck on his way or nothing. I wonder how long Jason will even keep his job with this guy in charge.

ETA: I wonder if we'll get Jason going behind the Coach's back to do what is best for the team? I can see him doing that and winning the game their way, only for the Coach to get pissed and fire him anyway.

Yes Jason was helping Matt and that is when they got results in the playoffs that Coach Taylor asked Jason if he wanted a job as a Asst. Coach for the panthers.

Bad!Coach needs to let Jason do what he does best and that's lead his team.

As Jason told Matt last season. Do you want to be a good QB or a Outstanding QB?

A good QB controls the ball

A outstanding QB knows what the other players ate game day, knows if they have girl friend troubles and weaknesses.

Jason is one smart cookie and will make a great coach. I hope he takes some college credits so that he can earn a degree. I cant see him being a coach for long without a further education.

I'm really nervous for Jason after that guy mentioned experimental surgery in Mexico. I don't think anything good can come from that. If anything it would probably make things worse. :( He's so determined to walk though...

Hopefully Tim or Coach Taylor will find out and be able to talk him out of it cause it just seems really crazy and drastic.

I dont think surgery it is stem cell which I dont think is surgery. I think its more injecting stuff? I would have to do some reading about it.

Besides there are several great countries out there people are using to have medical proceedures done that are great compared to the USA so dont get worried because it is Mexico.

Just remember the best rehab facility and success rate is great is in the Virgin Islands:D

I hope you're right. :lol: I love Jason so I don't want him to do anything crazy! But he wants to walk so bad, so you know he'll be crushed if it doesn't work. Poor boy. He needs a hug.

I'm also glad they remembered the tattoo and had him looking at it after seeing the doctor.

Do you really think Jason had a dream about Tammi Taylor or do you think he is just intune with others he realized she was in distress and decided to BS a story to make her feel better?

Because it is a small town and people talk so I am sure her behavior has been talked about and Jason was trying to help? Just a thought about that scene?

Because if it was Coach Taylor saying Jason walk he would do it for Coach IMO.

I thought the dream thing was kind of random too. At first I was like, okay, exactly what kind of dream is he talking about here? Should he be telling her this? :lol:

But yeah, I think if he was really having the dreams then 1.) they should have shown it to us so it wouldn't seem so out of left field and 2.) it probably WOULD be Coach. So, I don't know.

Do they still put up deleted scenes on the website? Maybe they cut something that would make that scene make more sense.

I know that Jason Street wont be in Season 3 much or at all but I hope they give him a happy storyline not a depressing cripple end to his story.
