I think the baby will live...It would be too tragic if the baby died...One more of Luka's children dying would be very cruel.
I'm guessing the baby will have a lot of complications from the premature birth, but probably will be ok after a while...

It was soooo perfect!!! Maura did a great job..It was really intense
it was really sad too..I can't wait to Thrusday!! Really can't. :lol:

Words are not enough...The whole scene after the baby was born and Luka and Abby were in the room and Luka showing the baby in the palmtop(I think) it was just the sweetest! And Abby saying "I'd like to call him Joe, if that's ok..."

Ok.. I have to change my opinion.. I have to admit... Luby is just cute... I mean.. I still think Carby is a great couple too.. but Luka said just the right words this episode... One is all we need :D.. perfect! this episode was just perfect... to be honest, I dont know if carter could say that right thinks.. I mean... I know he would be sweet, but he isnt that good with words... I think he was too sad about everything to say the right words..

This episode was a gift to the Lubby shippers :lol:

All their scenes were wonderful.

First Luka taking off that breathing thing and going to the room next door, kissing her head and holding her head all the time to see if she was ok. Then the "Congratulations, it's a boy".

Then the baby name scene. That one was so funny :D It was so cute that he was trying to cheer her up and take her head off the bad thing that happened.

Then the operation...Aww that scene was so sad. When she said "Shup up, just shut up" my heart popped into tiny pieces. But then she said she didn't want the baby to be alone and awwwww. Poor Abby.

And the final scene.Perfection is the word I choose to describe it. Abby telling Luka that she had a hysterectomy and asking if one baby would be enough. Him showing her the baby and Abby wanting to call him Joe and crying :crying: And then Luka kissing her and going to the bathroom to cry.

At first it was kind of sad because they were arguing a lot about what was best for baby Joe. But then they eventually got back to normal.

Abby telling him she didn't need a ring or a dress to know how much she loved him was great! I didn't see that coming at all! And coming from Abby we can tell she REALLY loves him, because she's not exactly the emotion showing type of woman :lol:

so I've read through this board and I read all your comments on the carby relationship and the luby relationship, and here is my opinion on it. i absolutley hated luby the first go around. luka just seemed so cold and distant at times and abby was only just starting to go through all her crap. i really liked carby, because they just had this connection, but i just think that their relationship happened at a bad time in both of their lives. i really love luby now, and i have to admit, even as a carby fan, that if carter and abby would ever get back together it wouldn't be the same because they've all so much growing up. luka and abby are great together now, and that's all i really have to say about it. besides baby joe is so cute!

summerzgurlz: I liked your opinion about it. I think Carter and Abby were kind of immature when they dated, so things didn't work out very well. They needed to grow up a little and they did now. But Carter started loving another woman and all, so it got complicated.

I think Lubby now is so perfect. The first time around they weren't ready for all the commitment. Luka was still so sad about losing his family and Abby also had her issues. They needed this time apart to be in peace with themselves so that their relationship could work out!
When they broke-up we could see that Luka never forgot about her and he always had his gaze fixed on her. I don't think Abby loved Carter as she loves Luka. She may have loved him, but it was in a different way for me. Carter and Abby had many communication problems, and that makes it really hard for a couple to survive. The way Carter left for Africa was absurd. How can yoo not tell the person you love that you are traveling until they run into you? That's why I think they weren't ready for this relationship, and what they felt wasn't exactly deep love, though they shared some good moments.

Luka is so much mature now. He used to get upset and loose control while talking to Abby, and he ended up saying some really hurtful things. But now he puts his love for her above all things. We could see that on the ending of last episode, when he held her hand even when they had a small argument earlier :heart:

The audience would never buy that. Plus... how many times can you keep getting seriously involved and then breaking up with the same person?

I was at grandma's and turned the TV on, last season's finale was on and then the season premiere came and I was amazed by Luby, Maura and Goran. They were AWESOME. I had sooo much hope it wouldn't be anything, maybe just a kiss. God, Abby is such a mess. It was so pathetically wrong. However, her heart was never in it, she was completely wasted, feeling really lost and she was really mad at Luka and herself... we know Abby can be pretty self-destructive.

Anyway, it was such a stupid move from TPTB, they didn't have to go that far... as much as it's TV and we're supposed to be understanding towards Abby, cheating is something that really turns me off. Instead of getting angry with Abby, I just pretend it didn't happen and get angry with the writers. Now they better end the strike and give me a happy Luby ending :lol:

We just know Luka and Abby are crazy about each other and will be together forever, I just have no idea of how they're gonna fix that.

I just feel awfully bad for Luka. I mean...His late wife and children were killed by a bomb attack, he almost lost Abby and Joe because of that shooting in the hospital, he had to deal with crazy old Ames, his father is dying of cancer and now his wife cheats on him? Luka found out... and they were fighting about it... then they decided that Luka and Joe were going to Croatia and Abby to rehab.... and that one epi I watched, Abby returned from rehab to the ER... and nobody knew about her alcohol problems... only Pratt and Neela... so Abby told everyone that she was in rehab.. and Sam was really pissed off... dont get why... but what ever... and now she is in Croatia.... but I dont know how its going between Luka and Abby now... because I didnt watch the last episode...

I was kind of surprised to by Sam's reaction. I think it was b/c she was drunk at work and it could effect the patients. I can't remember though was someone in Sam's family or her ex and alcholic?? I don't think it had any bearing on her old relationship with Luka, I think it was more personal with Abby.

That's a possibility. Though I can't opinion because I didn't see the exact way she reacted. You know when someone is arguing about something but she really means something else? I don't know how to explain but it is like when you are angry with someone for a reason and you use another thing she did to argue with her because you don't want them to know the real reason why you are angry. Something like that. Maybe that was what happened with Sam but like I said, I can't say that was what happened cause I'm really behind what's happening in ER

Yep, I agree. You said it well. I was almost starting to get bored by all the drama. So I think it's best if they leave before it's too late and they ruin their relationship.

I am, it's TV land and all the producers + both actor have always said nice things in interviews. Problem is, it's kinda like what they did with The OC. TPTB screwed it up so badly that at this point is almost like I don't care anymore, no matter how amazing the reunion is. I mean, it will always be cool bonus and I'll just try to erase this season from my head :lol:.
