He's hot, he's funny at times, he's so cute and mygosh his smirk is love!

I was sorta cautious when I first heard Shane West will be in the show, I like Shane muchly but I dont know, it was like Shane ER..unfitting but ooh he's awesome.

I love Ray. He's like the new-Dave *grins*

I was like you Kay. At first I had my suspicions about him on ER and I wasn't really into him on the show.
But after I started watching I started liking him more and now I really like his character.
Michael and Neela were a cute couple, but somehow I've always liked Ray and Neela as well.

Shane is hot, of course. Ray Barnett is hot. And Doctor Ray Barnett is hot. :lol:

The only possibly reason why I watch ER, because of Shane... *sigh*

I think Shane has grown into the character of Ray - thought he was a little bit uncomfortable at the start, especially with all those medical words he had to say. Also, his character has changed a lot. Ray was a bit too sure of himself at the start. But now-! How much did you love him in the episode 'Nobody's Baby'?

I love Ray and Neela. I always had a feeling something would happen between them - I knew it in the episode where she goes after him and shouts at him in the snow. We should have a Reela appreciation thread.

I really hope Shane is coming back, but I don't know...his leg injury makes it look like he'll be away a long time...how can he be a doctor if he's lost half his legs?

I hate that the writers did this to him. It was so unnecessary. I admit that they've underused and undervalued him, but they didn't need to have done this to him to make him interesting. I mean, what do we know about Ray's life or his family? All the writers have established in the 3 years he's been there is that he's a rocker, was in a band, and is in love with Neela. They could have given him so much more stuff to do. Or why couldn't they have put him and Neela together? Don't they know how many people are gagging to see them as a couple? The writers could have ditched the stupid Ray/Neela/Gates triangle completely, and put Reela together. Maybe Reela could have even got married, and Neela could have got pregnant, and that would have been such an interesting story to see how Ray and Neela coped with being young working parents. There are a hundered different stories they could have cooked up around Ray which didn't involve him losing any limbs. If Shane West has left the show, then I don't think I can bear to watch next season.
