Better Father

In general who do you think has displayed the better parenting skills whether towards Rory or someone else. I.E Luke with Jess or April or Chris with Gee Gee. Mainly in regards to Rory though.

I say neither because both of them are really that good of fathers.

Honestly, I put no opinion/indifferent. I think they both have their good qualities about them, but like Lauren said neither have proven to be good fathers. I think both have room to grow and maturity to gain. They're pretty equal on my board, but at the same time I want to hope they can be good fathers and change the past leaving room for change and growth.

I say Luke is the better dad. He would totally of been there for April, but he didn't know about her. Chris knew about Rory, but chose not to play a role in her life. It was so cute when April was staying with Luke how he followed all the gossip of he said she said. It was adorable. I don't like the fact that Luke is a dad, but he does make a good one. He was a good father figure to Rory as well. Better than Chris ever was.....

While Chris was absent for Rory's childhood, he is a good father to Gigi, and has made leaps and bounds in his relationship with Rory.

Luke was also absent with April, but has made alot of progress with her.

They are both victims of circumstance, imo.

I say Luke but to Rory. Because He has ALWAYS been there for Rory and Lorelai but mostly Rory. And I really don't feel like listing what he's done. But like when she had the Chicken Pox or whatever and just he's been there Chris hasn't.

I say Luke. Chris was pretty good with Gigi, but not that great with Rory. They get along alright, but he wasn't that great of a father early on in her life. Luke seems to care so much about April.

Luke, just she recently how he has been, and at the hospital. Chris didn't come untill way late, and Rory may have needed him. Chris has been good with GiGi, but Luke has been GREAT with Rory and he tries as good as he can with April.

he has always been there for her. Who met the boyfriends? Who took her to her coming out party? Who slept there all night when her arm was broken? Who bought her the compact Oxford English Dictionary?

Chris has NEVER been there for Rory, yes he met her boyfriends, and he bought her a dictionary, but he was never there in christmas or Rory's birthdays, he always comes back just to get Lorelai back or when he need help from Rory or Lorelai, but Luke has always been there, he also met Rory's boyfriends, he made her presents in christmas, but he did something is priceless: he always has been there, all the time, not just for Lorelai, for Rory tto. Who went to Rory's graduation in Chilton? him, he always took care of Rory, even he isn't her father, and Chris, well he's Chris, he's just a really selfish person who never supported Rory.

Christopher was too young when he became a father with Rory, but he is doing a good job with Gigi. With Rory he tries to fix what he can, but it's kind of late.

Luke was always there for Rory, even though she's not his own daughter, which I think is part of the reason that Lorelai fell for him. When Rory was dating Dean for the second time, Luke was all cute and protective and really a great father figure.

I think Luke 100%. He was with Rory throughout her whole life, while Chris came and went as he pleased. I know Chris meant well, but he just wasn't there.

Luke definitely, I mean Chris is a good guy I like him a lot but he never sticks around he says he wants to be serious and settle down and then leaves.. so definitely Luke, hes always been there :)

Yeah Luke definitely, I have always loved Luke, and its so cute when she comes into the diner and he already knows she wants coffee and when she orders he gets it for her right away and everything, like a daddy :D

I voted neither. This was based on their skills with Rory. Chris wasn't really around in the first years and Luke wasn't a father figure. He helped, but dind't do anything parents would do.
