Decisions, decisions. Life is full of them. We go to work or stay home. We stay up late or go to bed early. We floss or don't floss. Then we watch the shows that -- momentarily, blissfully -- help us forget about the four or five thousand other decisions we have to make on a daily basis.
Why, then, are NBC and Fox mucking with our lives? After a seven-week absence, new episodes of NBC's "Heroes" return to the schedule Monday night. "Heroes" is about a scattered group of individuals with superhuman powers, most of whom will collectively save the world (though neither they nor fans have a bloody clue how they'll do that exactly).
It is also the most successful new show of the fall season on any network, broadcast or otherwise, and a water-cooler talker of the first rank. Fans tend to ruminate (obsessively) about the wicked intentions of Sylar, or Horn-Rimmed-Glasses -- HRG, for short, and "Mr. Bennett," for long -- or the List. Monday night, as such, is a major night for them.
Then, there is "24." You already know about "24." A nuke devastated part of Los Angeles last week. Four more briefcase bombs are out there. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) has been emotionally under the weather lately. Will he snap out of his bad case of the blues to save the world? Monday night is a major night for "24" fans, too.
Both shows will air at 9 p.m. Mondays for the rest of the season.
