Katherine Heigl Adopts A Dog For T.R. Knight

This is such a sweet story. Dog-lover extraordinaire, Katherine Heigl, recently flew all the way to Nebraska to adopt an older lab mix, German shorthair, collie mix puppy named Ebony. The intent? To surprise fellow co-star, T.R. Knight with it.

And before you could say “George looks so adorable in those scrubs,” the dog found wandering the streets near Antelope Park was Hollywood bound.

Ebony flew to L.A. on a Tuesday morning flight — spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, manicured.

She didn’t sport sunglasses, but she was wearing a “very ladylike pink collar,” Wheeler said.

The shelter director is too busy tending to more than 200 dogs to watch much television, so she was unaware Izzy and George had recently slept together on prime time.

In the real world, however, she knows they are good friends.

“I believe she wanted to surprise him for his birthday,” she said.

So cute.

It's nice to see Katherine Heigl dressed so elegantly, especially after her hideous outfit at the airport. She definitely got herself together for her appearances for Knocked Up because she's rockin' the black and blue trend with a ladylike striped skirt. Her ruffled cardigan, leather belt and small tote are simply lovely.

Watch just 30 seconds of Katherine Heigl as Grey's Anatomy's Dr. Izzie Stevens and it's easy to envision the statuesque blonde on the big screen opposite a Clooney or Pitt. Twenty-one million viewers tune in for the season 4 premiere of Grey's Anatomy, with Heigl's Izzie and T.R. Knight's George exploring their hospital romance.

Heigl is set to tie the knot with singer Josh Kelley at a ceremony in Utah.

As much as we love our celebrities, it seems that every year brings a new batch of stars that we wish would just go away. Some irritate us with their desperate desire to be famous while others need to learn when to keep their mouth closed. So tell us — who do you think is the most annoying celebrity of 2007?

Heigl Distances Herself From Washington

Daily News reports actor Isaiah Washington ("Bionic Woman") joined the cast of "Grey's Anatomy" as they hit the picket lines on Wednesday. When Katherine Heigl, who was posing with co-star and friend T.R.Knight, was asked if Washington was with the Grey's group, she responded: "He's not with me."

Writers and actors who are gay or a minority were specifically asked to appear on the picket line on Wednesday.

Washington said there were no problems between him and his former co-stars and posed with Justin Chambers.

The outspoken Heigl was also quick to react to her Golden Globe nomination this morning saying she would not cross the picket line to attend the awards ceremony.

The 30-minute sunset ceremony, which ended shortly after 5 p.m., took place under a giant white tent in front of more than 100 guests, including Grey's costars Sandra Oh, Kate Walsh and Knight.

The heated wedding tent, dramatically lit by blue-and-purple lighting and decorated in large white drapes, was filled with silver chairs covered with white cushions on a white carpet. The couple wed on an altar flanked by brass candleholders.

Knight was to have served as a groomsman.

Next on the agenda for the couple? "I'm super excited to start a family," Heigl recently told Extra. "I've always wanted a family, a large family. But I say that now!"

The pair met in 2005 when Heigl appeared in the music video for his song “Only You.” She gushed to Us: “I met this guy I couldn’t imagine living without!”

Kelley popped the question June 19, 2006, with a 3-carat, pear-shaped diamond flanked by pave diamonds. Designed by jeweler Ryan Ryan, the sparkler has sentimental value (half of the platinum band is from her mother’s own engagement ring). See the rock here.

Josh, who met his bride when she starred in the video for his 2005 single "Only You" was joined by four groomsmen, including Katherine's Grey's co-star T.R. Knight, and Josh's younger brother Charles as best man, all dressed head-to-toe in Tommy Hilfiger.

T.R. wasn't the only Grey's cast member there to cheer Katherine on. Also joining their Emmy-winning co-star were Sandra Oh, Kate Walsh (whose wedding was also featured exclusively in OK!) and Justin Chambers.

Guests at the wedding were given gift baskets of Christmas cookies as they arrived at the ceremony, and then later they dined on traditional Christmas fare at the reception.

On Saturday, Katherine and her gal pals celebrated her last day of single-hood with an all-day trip to the spa, complete with gifts from Victoria's Secret and buckets of champagne from Moet & Chandon.

The two met in 2005 when Heigl, 29, appeared in a video for Kelley's song "Only You." Kelley, 27, an Augusta, Ga., native, told PEOPLE in November that he was excited about marrying the actress. "It's about showing someone you love that you're actually capable of the ultimate commitment," he said. "We're madly in love and she makes me excited to become married and to have a family and spend my life with someone. We're fairly opposite but we also share a lot of the same values."

The couple spent the week before their wedding making last minute preparations. On Wednesday, they spent the day running errands in Los Feliz, Calif. and Heigl got her nails done at Fancy Nails. While there, she happily posed for photos before deciding on fire engine red polish for the big day. Afterwards, the two lunched at French bistro Figaro with Heigl's mom Nancy and Grey's costar T.R. Knight. On Friday, they met with Rev. Goldsmith at his church in Salt Lake. "Two friends were with them," says a source. "Katherine and Josh seemed happy and relaxed."

Guests for the wedding began arriving in Salt Lake on Thursday and prior to the ceremony, Heigl enjoyed a "really feminine and small" bridal shower with 15 friends. A rehearsal took place on Saturday. The actress recently told Vanity Fair that she had no misgivings about marriage. "It's a crapshoot. The odds are really bad, especially in this town," the actress says. "But I have a lot of faith in Josh, and I wanted to have that one day when I stand in front of my friends and my family and honor him and how important he is in my life."

Congrats Josh and Katie . The wedding sounds amazing with Josh writing Katie a song to walk down the aisle, and giving the guests xmas cookies is awesome . Katie invited everyone from the show to the wedding, but it was known not everyone could come due to the holiday season. Which Katie said she understood, and didn't want to feel like the cast was pressured go due to the family time of year.
