Fox News is producing another comedy news show, the "1/2 Hour News Hour."

Politics aside, I think it needs work. The part about 99.9% approval ratings for Obama made be laugh, yes, but the BO thing just wasn't all that funny. All in all, it looked like a bad imitation of a SNL segment. It's going to be constantly compared to The Daily Show, so if it wants to be able to compete, it needs to shape up, in my opinion.

I heard about this last Wednesday, but forgot to watch it on Sunday. Damn...I was supposed to tape it for my mom, but I think she forgot.

I saw it, it wasn't actually that bad. I mean it's a new show, so I'm giving it more time, but I did like what I saw.

For me it will never be able to compete with the daily show, but that is because I'd gladly marry Jon Stewart...damn, he already is married.

Jon,

Rush said that it was still in the planning stages. Thats how I heard about it last week.

The BO magazine thing was hilarious.

It was. The part about my 18 month journey had me cracking up. And "Did I mention I went to Harvard?"

I watched a bit of it, but it does not amuse me.
The presenter seems to imitate Stephen Colbert, but then again he probably doesn't, but that is just the way it is and what Stephen parodies.

Sorry, I am such a hopeless Daily Show lover.

Funny...but the Daily Show doesnt really amuse me. Probably because of the angle. Whenever I watch it, I end up rolling my eyes. Same with Stephen Colbert

Different folks, different strokes.

lovefool.

looks like a cheap ripoff of "This hour has 22 minutes"

Politics aside, dont you think that with all the liberal spoof news shows out there, that Conseratives deserve at least one...even if you dont find it funny?

Because there have been times when I have felt downright insulted by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

All Im saying, is that since they are entitled to their forum, shouldnt the opposing side be entitled to the same?

To me it is perfectly okay, they can have five as long as I dont have to find them funny

Yeah, you dont have to watch them. Just like I never watch The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. I prefer Dennis Miller, personally. I miss the Dennis Miller Show.

well, it would be not clever to watch shows that make us angry...

Though I kind of read one German newspaper at times that is absolutely conservative, because the culture section (which actually is liberal again) is so good.

Fox, what a thief. This show exists already in Canada. It's called "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" and we've had it for years. ;)

I shouldn't be surprised by this. Network stations in all countries are stealing from each other. (Ex. The premise of CBS' Cold Case was stolen from CTV's Cold Squad. The show even has an actor in common.)

looks like a cheap ripoff of "This hour has 22 minutes"

You beat me to it. :)

I really only laughed at the "99.99%" thing and the "18 month journey"

but i really hate comedy news.. Jon Stewart has started a phemomenon I really really don't like.

lol, but he never claimed to be news.

Though actually I loved when Samantha Bee went to Al-Jazeera, the American version and pimped it and in the end...it was horrible.

Hmm, the Fox News Channel creates a fake news show to rival a fake news show on Comedy Central...

But hey, whatever floats your boat.

you know jon and stephen also critisize the democratic party or just liberals whenever they do something wrong too, just so you know :-)

and also,i think it was kari that said it i too agree with the fact it's a damn shame jon's married or otherwise i'm pretty sure we would've ended up together

hahaha! i remember that! that song...haha,aah,samantha rocks even though john oliver is still my favorite,he's a good replacement for rob corddry. Have you seen the episodes during the midterms where jon checks up on stephen? those were the best check ups of all time! stephen's cake was awesome
