How's you guys enjoy the finale?

Personally, I thought it was a bit football heavy -- which makes sense, I guess, considering the show is about football, it just didn't have a ton of the stuff that is why I personally love FNL. Still, it had some really fantastic moments.

How great was Landry in the car with Tyra, her mom, her sister, and Matt's grandmother?

I loved how the end made you want more, but didn't do to many cliche cliffhangers. That being said, I'm still dying to know whether Coach Taylor is going to stay or not.

He was perfect in the car Landry....He didnt get a single chocolate truffle. Had to deal with women talking about hot flashes, tampons he mid as well cut his penis off and throw it out the car window:D

But it's sweet that he stood for it. I truly believe he's what Tyra needs right now, and understanding, sweet man. But, we all tend to fall for the men that would break our hearts instead.

I think Coach Taylor will be back. The bigger question is will the show be back? This episode being football heavy made sense to me since it was the state championship game and truth to be told is they haven't had too many football heavy episodes.

Agreed, Coach Taylor certainly can't leave! But if he signed a contract, who knows.

I'm really hoping that the show comes back. FNL is too amazing to be lost.

Yeah, for a football-based show the episodes don't tend to be too football-heavy, but for me, that is what makes it so amazing.

i think Fraz posted the article in the Tim Riggins thread that talks about the way creative minds behind the show are thinking of doing (if renewed) less football heavy episodes next season as they believe the football aspect is the 'least interesting' part of the show

however i like the inclusion of all the football - if we never saw them actually play the game/be hurt in the game/win games, it would not be as easy to understand how ingrained the game is in them and in everything they say, how they act and what they do
but i think i'm in the minority :D

I coach football so obviously I like the inclusion of football into the show. But I also like how the story revolves around the individuals first, then football. I think if the show does get picked up if they will start the show in the offseason/spring or the next school year.

My guess is next season is going to be a continuation of this year, so everyone (Coach, seniors, etc) will still be around, but there will be less football since it isn't football season....just practicing as Jason mentioned.
