 Aww yeah they were so cute, but what they did tsk tsk on them  It was basically self-defense they should have said that to the cops ..

I love Landry and Tyra too. I just HATE their storyline. It's just soooo not like FNL. *sigh*
I adored everything else of this episode though.

Yeah I know what you mean.. Its too.. OTH. Like when she was talking about the guy that attacked her and he defended her and everything it reminded me of Lucas/Peyton on OTH, cause Lucas would protect her from the guy who attacked her..

I read that the Tyra/Landry scene was different in the the one that streamed on Yahoo. Apparently in that one, Landry hit the guy with a bottle and it looked much more like self defense, while the one we saw last night with the pipe seemed more...deliberate? I'm not crazy about the plot either but I'm trying to have faith that the writers know what they're doing!
I hate the new coach. Just saying. Leave Tim alone!
Julie is grating on my nerves too.

Julie is being a brat. I am a Matt fan at heart and anyone who hurts him gets my angry wrath  I do understand her though.
Alright I have to say loved parts of the episode.\
I have a feeling Tyra/Landry will think the guy was dead and dumped him in the water. But I have a feeling he survives but they think they murdered him. I bet in sweeps they get WHEN A STRANGER CALLLS type thing as this guy finally gets arrested and they feel relief.
Not loving Julie either but the heart to heart with her dad helped. Also has she even held, acknowledged this baby?
Poor Tammy I dont like how they have her crying in silence. That is not the Tammy Taylor of Season one. Tammy woulda told him how she feels. That it sucks he is going back and she is not okay but he has to do what he has to do and she will work thru her issues. Not the husband leaving the house and her muffling her cries.
It is so out of character for Tammy she is a fighter.
Riggins and Lyla scene. He still gets her flustered and she knows there are still feelings there. IMO Riggins drinking and whoring around is because he wants Lyla and so he is drowning his missery. "You know your still the best I ever had" yeah she was but she thinks sex I am thinking Tim means she was the best woman all the way around. She made him a better man. If you read between the lines
I thought that Jason going to the coach was brave saying ridding Riggins is not going to make him a better player. I did not like the truth but the coach was being straight up with Jason. You can not be there friend and a coach. Decide... you can be a mascot wheel out there every week on the field or Jason can be a coach.

I like your whole idea of your theory, Fraz, but the thought of the guy calling like FROM A STRANGER CALLS makes me want to barf  I hate cheesy stuff like that. :)
I was just kinda using the stranger calls as a example. Because he was creeping me out when he was stalking Tyra.
IMO it would be somehow this guy will try and act revenge on them which is common for stalkers to do. Then Landry/Tyra will realize they did not kill him and do the right thing the second time around by calling police in to arrest him.

I'm also wondering how they're going to deal with the dead guy story. I think they'll do it realistically, despite the rather soap opera-ish plot, but to that I think there will be consequences for them. Even if he didn't really die, wouldn't they get in trouble for dumping his body? It seems like a no win situation no matter what.
Well I do think that as we saw last season Landry cant deal with lying etc. He told Tammy about Tyra assault so I think Landry will tell someone in confidence about the body?

I think he will, but I can't see how this will end nicely for either. Which for the sake of FNL, I hope it doesn't. FNL has been known for being relatistic and if being realistic means punishing them in whatever way it will be.. then so be it. I hate the storyline right now but I am curious to see how it plays out.

That new coach is a hard ass. I'm glad I never played for a coach like that. The new coach was right when he was talking to Streit. You can't be their friend and their coach.
I think they'll handle the Landry/Tyra storyline realistically. Landry is a good kid and he'll eventually do the right thing.
