The proverbial fish-out-of-water at the prep school are Dan and his sister Jenny,
middle-class kids whose background keeps them on the fringes of this exclusive clique.
Dan and Jenny are attending the school at the insistence of their father, Rufus, determined to give his kids a first-class education.
When a chance encounter brings Dan to Serena's attention, he suddenly finds himself dating the girl of his dreams.
The more Dan discovers about the real Serena, the more he's challenged to make sense of her world.
Dan's sister Jenny is the youngest of the group and wants desperately to be accepted.
The price she'll have to pay for popularity will take a toll, but at the moment, Jenny is just thrilled to have entry into this glamorous world.

When OK! caught up with the cast of new the new CW show Gossip Girl, we found that on-screen siblings Taylor Momsen and Penn Badgley might as well be brother and sister in real life.

"He's so much fun," 14-year-old Taylor tells OK! about Penn, who plays her older brother on Gossip Girl. "He's like my older brother in real life." And that brotherly love extends to Penn's being a little overprotective of Taylor. "It's crazy," Taylor explains. "They'll be talking and they accidentally cuss. Penn will tell them, 'Uh, don't say that around her.' It's so cute!"

Taylor, who got her big break at the age of 6, starring as Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, also talked about working with Jim Carrey. "Everyone would laugh because he's so funny, but I never understood any of his jokes, so I just laughed along."

She also had a bit of trouble distinguishing the man in the makeup from the real actor. "I just knew him as the Grinch, so I didn't recognize him at the premiere. I asked my mom, 'Where's Jim?' and she said, 'He's right there.' And I was like, 'No, that's not him.'"

I for one, dont agree. -- I have to admit that I'm not a fan of Jenny, so I think Dan should prevent her from going back or ever mixing up with Blair again coz she's obv wayyyy corrupted by them. Well, thats my thoughts. :shrugs: What do u thk?

Blair and Serena had the gift talk too both scenes were great.

When you get a great Jenny/Dan scene it makes you miss the episodes when they dont.

I truly enjoy the depiction of this sibling relationship. It feels realistic and honest to me, with the banter but also with the concern Dan and Jenny have for each other. He constantly wants to protect her from getting hurt by the UES kids, and he was there for her when she had to own up to the fact that their parents wouldn't get back together during the Christmas episode. In return, she sweetly helped him set up the surprise at Serena's hotel despite the freakin' tree being heavy to carry. And she tried to give him a heads-up when she read the news that Serena might be pregnant though Dan messed that up for himself!

They also fight and get annoyed with one another like all siblings do, no matter how close they are. They don't always see eye to eye, but ultimately, they have one another's back, and they are sources of love and support for one another. I think it's very cool to see that on this show.
