so i'm currently watching the end of season two and today was the episode where Pacey punches his father. i don't remember seeing that episode because Joshua's performance in it is unbelievebly good and i would have remembered something this good. the scene where he cries at the end because his father apologised for being a bad dad and because he misses andy... oh my god! perfect! he's so talented and it makes me sad to know that he won't be in GA :(

Creek star 'set for sci-fi role'

Joshua Jackson played Pacey in hit teen series Dawson's Creek
Former Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson is returning to TV screens in a new sci-fi series, according to trade journal the Hollywood Reporter.

Jackson will play the lead role in Fringe, a highly anticipated drama from Lost and Alias creator JJ Abrams, the Hollywood Reporter said.

The two-hour $10m (£5.1m) pilot centres on an FBI agent who teams up with Peter Bishop, played by Jackson.

The pair confront the spread of unexplained phenomena.

The character of Peter Bishop will be a high school drop-out with a high IQ who is trying to clear a gambling debt.

The cast for Fringe's pilot, which has begun filming in Toronto, also includes Blair Brown, Lance Reddick, Kirk Acevedo and Jasika Nicole.

Jackson played Pacey in Dawson's Creek, the successful teen drama series that ended in 2003.

It also spawned film careers for Katie Holmes, now also married to Tom Cruise, and Michelle Williams, who starred in Brokeback Mountain opposite her former partner, the late Heath Ledger.

Dawson's Creek alum Joshua Jackson — who when last heard from was to visit Grey's Anatomy's Seattle Grace, but... strike happens — will play Peter Bishop, the son of the institutionalized scientist teamed with a female fed (Aussie actress Anna Torv) to investigate unexplained phenomena. Oh, Peter is also a high-school dropout/gambling addict with an IQ of 190.

Filming is now under way in Toronto.

Fox has picked up to series J.J. Abrams' "Fringe," about a young female FBI agent who tackle cases involving unexplained medical and scientific phenomena, reports Variety.

Abrams' Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV produced a two-hour pilot for "Fringe," which was written by frequent Abrams' collaborators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and directed by Alex Graves.
