The First Fanbolt Convention

This weekend, three of Fanbolts staff members were lucky enough to get together in person.

I was seriously late, due to gridlock beyond my control, but once I finally got there, it was a lot of fun. I've met Emma before, but it was nice to also meet Shirphie in person. And Emma's parents are always wonderful.

Oh so you did get to meet Shirphie (I am uber jealous btw).
Shirphie mentioned that she was meeting Emma again and was unsure about whether she'd have the honour to meet you.
Glad you guys met.

What did you end up doing?

We had dinner at Planet Hollywood. It was me, Emma, Shirphie, and Emma's parents (who I absolutely love....seriously, Emma's dad is so much fun).

But I was like an hour late...because I take the ferry to Manhatten, and there was serious traffic getting there...and then I had trouble finding the restaurant....lol. I felt like a total spaz walking up and down Times Square. I actually ended up asking picketers where it was, and they showed me.

Actually, getting home was no picnic, either. There was serious traffic getting out of Manhatten.

But finally meeting Shirphie was really cool. And seeing Emma and her parents again was awesome. I definitely need to schedule a trip to Atlanta...lol.

There was also a funny moment, when Emma, Shirphie and I realized we had the same phone, in varying shades of pink. Emma and Shirphie took pictures. :)
