PS3 vs. XBOX 360

Personally I like the PS3, it's definitely different from the PS2 as it works more like a computer than a gaming console, this system is very fast it can copy about 140 songs from my MP3 CD onto the PS3 with about 4 minutes. And right now the price for the ps3 has dropped a lot ,only $453 (http://www.dealstudio.com/viewtopic.php?t=34642).

Xbox is microsoft, they know computers/consoles. Playstation is sony, not bad audio system knowledge, exellent walkmans in the 80s.........think i will stick to my PC and Xbox console

We have a PS2, xbox and two Gameboy Advances but I just won an xbox 360 and my husband is very excited about it. He says each system has its pluses so you would want to check that out and then decide. Do a side by side comparison. Me? I would get a wii.

This may sound like a stupid question - but does the PS3 still play PS2 and PS1 games?

360 is far more enjoyable IMO, great online service to play games online, and less expensive for something I find way better. The most important part is the games to, and its got its share of fun games, out and coming, as well as fun xbox live arcade games.

The price on the PS3 is its greatest undoing, I think. We bought the Wii last year and love it and just got the Xbox 360 this year. So far that's awesome too but I hear it's touchy and breaks easily. Not sure if that's true.

The 360 does have alot of troubles, my first one, though everyones first one when it was first released had some kind of problem it seemed, but mine froze alot, then i got another and its been fine for the 2 years i've had it. Chances of having a bad one is slim now compared to when it was first released, and that's what the warranty is for incase you do get a problem, it'd be fixed in no time. :D

don't know which one you should get...if you had an Xbox and Ps2, I'd go with whichever you liked better of those two. We have an Xbox 360, but we may get a Ps3 one day...who knows. We love the Xbox though...it's awesome and has great games

The success of the Wii has been one of the most surprising things I've seen in recent years, I never would have guessed that ridiculous thing would have taken off like it did.

And yeah it'd be a tough choice between 360 and PS3...

The PS3 can get better graphics than the 360, but it takes more time to get it at par, so the developers generally don't make it any better than the 360 version.

But the selection of 360 games blows out the PS3 (currently) and the Wii, well, the games are progressively getting worse... Nintendo's first party games are amazing though!

I would HIGHLY advise you right this second, to get the PS3.

And NO. I dont hate the xBox360. But, as a electrician who does electronics and further IT and ICT skills at college i would NEVER go for xBox. And the graphics are a downhill. And also. The PS2 (Old) is more poweful than the xBox360.

Sorry to all you, who believe xBox is better. But truely it isnt. And this is coming from someone whos worked with consoles and computers for 7 years =]

PS3 has NO extra fee or subscription to play online live with other players like xBox does

Between Xbox360 and PS3, I would have to go for the Xbox. The game library is larger and there are more/better exclusive games for Xbox. Plus the lower price of the system is a plus (We decided for Wii+Xbox360 over PS3). Now, if you are also in the market for a Blu-ray/HD dvd player, the higher price of the PS3 might be worth it for you.

definitely the ps3... while more expensive, it is far more reliable. I've heard of several people in my area who have had an Xbox 360 die on them, the only 1 I heard of that the ps3 died was an idiot who used it as a punching bag... The ps3 is far more versatile and dependable than the Xbox... but what do you expect from a machine put out by the same people who are constantly putting out faulty software then releasing 'patches'... with microsoft, it's all about getting a monopoly, with Sony, it's more about making a good product. (PS3 version of GTA4 which just came out is rated far higher than Xbox's due to the loading speed just a current example...)

Xbox360 is a product by Microsoft where as PS3 is a product by Playstation.
both have same storage capacity.
Best selling game of XBox360 is Halo3.
Best selling game of PS3 MotorStrom.
Qualities are same for both..
I dont know more than about it...
