Recently on Grey's Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey's Derek locked lips with Nurse Rose (Lauren Stamile). While thismeans more trouble for his already unstable relationship with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Dempsey is actually happy about the development, saying that he feels “encouraged” that someone new has come into to his character's life.

"It will make the storylines more interesting and compelling,” Dempsey told the New York Post. “Last season was boring to do. Enough is enough already. It's time for the writers to go back and take a look at things and find some new paths for these characters. It was too repetitive for me."

That said, he isn't very hopeful about what will happen between Derek and Meredith in the future.

"You would think that they would work through their difficulties and move forward. Meredith needs to get healthy. That's an interesting thing to explore with her character. Does he stand by her while she goes through that? Or do they work through their problems alone,” Patrick Dempsey posed. “[Grey's Anatomy creator/writer] Shonda Rhimes is very clear on what she wants to do but not clear on what the actors are going to do.”

I'm glad Meredith finally told him though; she can't trust him...and it's because he never told her he was married, it all boils down to that. So he has no one to blame apart from himself!!

yeah it's true, he keeps blaming her for everything, but he screwed up in the first place, by not telling her he was married and then getting back together with Addison.

Exactly.
Not to mention she had never really done the relationship thing in the past, so its still brand new to her. Then she has her parents as examples, mother cheated on her husband and was a workaholic and dear daddy moved away to start another family.
Where are her role models? She needed cristina to walk down the aisle so she knew there was a constant somewhere, that everything was doom and gloom but that didn't happen, callie and george broke up because george cheated. She has no one to follow.

The only great thing from the last eppy was when meredith called him out on his crap, and the music "broken" by lifehouse which played in the background when everyone was watching bailey and her husband with the baby! That song is just sooo perfect for the situation right now.

I'm still holding on. I actually enjoyed MerDer from S1 to half of S3. After that I started to get annoyed. And I really liked Meredith during S1-S2. S3 I didn't like her too much, but she's improved in S4..sort of. Hopefully the writers get their groove and fix GA.

Then Mer goes and sees the therapist and tells her that he mom tried to kill herself when she was little...*insert more monolouge*...and then at the very end she says "fix me."

Then it ends all profoundly with just those words...

Meredith's corny-but-way-too-good-for-words gesture was amazing. The kiss..just. Finally, Shonda came to her senses!
