I thought that the first book, twilight, was overly moving and affectionately passionate. When i first started reading this book, i felt myself being pulled in and connecting with Bella in some way. Over the past few years, i've been easily disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm that some people put into their books. But not this time. No this time, i was overjoyed by the imaginative work that has been placed into this book.

But then, i was disappointed again. New moon was awful compared to its former book. I flipped through about 200 pages when Edward had disappeared from the scene. I was put out by the fact that, it was supposed to be a lot better than Twilight? I don't find that overly true.

I'm about to begin on Eclipse. And i'm really hoping that she has managed to achieve a brilliant writing passage for this one, or again i will be truely disappointed.

Give your views, i'm open to hear you own opinions on these 3 books. =] :)

Great thread topic, and I see you are new so welcome! :)

Truthfully, the Twilight saga moves me alot. Stephanie's writing is simple yet so effecting so you get the feeling that all of this could happen to you. The characters also seem so real so that helps. I just adore the series.

As for New Moon, I really don't believe it is as bad as you said. I don't believe what that person told you about New Moon being much better than Twilight is true but it really was not bad at all. I heard about Edward being gone for a large bit of the book before reading it and after reading brilliant Twilight and falling in love with Edward I admit I was a bit spectical before reading it but unlike yourself I was plesantly surprised unlike disappointed like yourself. True having no Edward was sad, but I really did enjoy the B/J stuff and I found it so interesting sometimes I even forgot about Edward. I sort of felt like Bella throughout the book, at first you are devestated that he leaves, but Jacob helps you move through that. Of course by the end you are so happy he is back. I also thought New Moon brought some amazing and emotional scenes which remain some of my favorite scenes in the series, (Cliff scene anyone?) I do put New Moon below Eclipse and Twilight but I really did enjoy it.

Read Eclipse, if you read the saga for E/B you will enjoy it more. :)

Yeah, i believe that is true. I guess the reason i disliked 'New Moon' is because i simply flipped through a lot of pages and missed the clear story of what was happening between Jacob Black and Bella Swan.

But i read the book again, the whole of it. And i found it very good, and indeed you was correct. I still don't have a personal view of it being better than "Twilight". But it was still very enjoyable.

As you advised me to, i read the newest book 'Eclipse' and all i can say is FANTASTIC! I was SO glad that she managed to keep good writing pattern. Because i was thinking it was going to end poorly. Can't wait for the next book to be released! And then 'Twilight' but in Edward's point of view! Should be excellent. =]

Hi!

I think that this series has done more to me than any other series. I am a type of girl that likes to read teenage gossip books. I read Private and The It Girl. None of this fantasy stuff. Occasionally I would read Harry Potter -- no comparison Twilight is better--. So I was in Wal-Mart one day and my dad told me to get this book because he herd a lot of people say that it was great. I even had this random girl come up to me and say "You should get that book its really good!!" I did indeed get it.

I think that Twilight was amazing. I will admit that at the beginning I was a little antsy to when these two characters would get along --Edward and Bella-- but soon after they did and it was amazing. It like you said these books make you feel like it is real.

New Moon was not as good but it did have great information within it. Stephenie needed to give the information on Jacob to make it difficult for Bella. And who knows. Maybe if Bella had never met him she might have killed herself. Of course Alice would have seen that but then again she might have come to a sad scene.

In Eclipse I was saved. I have definitely read that book more than the others. It is truly terrific and leads up to so much possibilities with the Breaking Dawn. Will Bella find Jacob? Will Jacob and Edward finally go at it? Even though I would prefer it didn't happen. Eclipse was a definitely goods stepping stone for the climax.

There are three big questions on my mind for Breaking Dawn. Will Bedwella get married? Will Bell FINALLY become a vampire? And Mostly -- to me at least-- for the love of carbs what is she talking about in the Preface when she says that the one she loves is killing her?

Those are my opinions!

I really really enjoyed the Twilight Series. After I started reading the first book I couldn't put it down. It was a good thing I didn't have to work for 3 days, because I never left my house, haha. It really did have an affect on me. The story is just so... beautiful. I am in a relationship with a guy I have been with for 3 years, and I am happy. But while I was reading this story I was so jealous of Bella and Edward's relationship. It is just so... there are no words. This whole serious was really really amazing.

I thought Twilight was just absolutely GREAT! Stephenie Meyer is extremely creative. I'm so sad that the series is over. Well, with the exception of Midnight Sun. I cried countless times in each book.

I think a lot of people miss the beauty of New Moon because they just plain miss Edward. And don't get me wrong, I miss him too, but NM was just so emotional that I can't help but love it despite its sadness. Or maybe, because of its sadness. I think some of the most moving parts and some of my favourite lines are from that book.

The series really made me think alot. Just about life and death and how things can change so fast. See i didn't quite like New Moon because of Edward but yet i found the way stephenie brought jacob into the series made me dislike him alot more then i might have. I have to say that Twilight was my favourite and kind of told me that just becuase maybe your different doesn't mean that your life will always be bad. Like Edward he spent the last couple decades alone and never thought hed find his soul mate when he did right out of the blue. Things can happen and change thatfast and that really changed me. New moon tho i have to agree was very emotional just because edward was gone. I think that the emotion went alittle over board.Bye!

on stephenie's site she bascially says everyone should read new moon a second time... cause the first time everyone rushes waiting for edward but once you read it once go back then you will really be able to appriciate jacob.

The twilight books truly moved me. I had always loved making stories in my head (I've got thousands of them now!) and Stephenie's writing made me want to write my own story. It's tough work but I have already 4 chapters of it done. I love Meyer's way of writing.

The entire series, Twilight especially, has definitely moved me. It was just so breathtaking and pulled you into the story, and made you feel like you actually knew the characters. I agree with you on how Bella is so relatable - I see so much of myself in her that I feel like I'm the heroine! Stephenie Meyer is a wonderful storyteller, countless people are forever in her debt for these amazing stories.

it's almost shocking how much of an impact this series has had on me. it's an escape, a passion, a comfort, a dream. it inspired me to start writing again (hadn't done that in years). i flip through favorite passages the way i rewind favorite movie scenes (and i'm a huge movie buff). it had been a few years since any book made me stay up late at night, put butterflies in my stomach. obviously it's special - every single person i recommend twilight to, falls HARD and then recommends it to their friends. <3

Twilight definately moved me completely. In Twilight, I fell in love with the complete martyrdom both Bella and Edward portrayed. Bella left Phoenix for her mom, and alienated humanity for Edward. Edward went again everything natural for Bella. Also, I loved that their relationship wasnt based on sex like so many teen romance novels are these days.

In New Moon, I was shocked because Edward left, but I could see the importance of it all. He needed to leave so that they could both learn how much they truly loved each other. If Edward hadnt left, their love wouldnt be as deep as it is now.

Eclipse was more boring to me as far as the saga goes, but it was still amazing. But it did show how protective Edward got after nearly killing Bella of a broken heart (and himself for that matter).

Breaking Dawn was the icing on the cake. They lived happily ever after and all that jazz... All in all, the saga moved me to happiness, tears, and back again. It made me view the world in a different way too. We all hope to stay young forever and maybe its not that glamorous. Also, it makes you think about all our dopey teenager love crap and makes me want to wait for my Edward... I can only wish.

It was hard reading New Moon. I am starting to read Twilght again and I am thinking about skipping New Moon! It was painful to read. And yet it was so hard to put down because you wanted to keep reading in the hopes Edward would be back any second.

I had the good fortune to have discovered the Twilight series AFTER ALL the books were released, thus guzzling them down like water, one delicious, satisfying gulp after the other. New Moon did not disappoint. I felt a little lonesome for Edward, yes, BUT I had been forwarned to get to know Jacob. Therefore, I settled into the reading with patience, which developed into great appreciation for Jacob, & the Jacob/Bella connection.

To me Twilight gives hope to the clumsy, not so outgoing girls. The love between Edward and Bella is beautiful and it makes you think anout life and the things that are not so important in it. I love how SM uses simple writing, and you actually do feel like this could happen to you becuase Bella is so relatable.

The Twilight Saga will remain in girls' hearts forever.

Its probably because it was the original one and there wasn't pressure for it.

Hopefully you'll enjoy it. There's like a 50/50 chance that it'll either be your favorite or lest favorite.
