Ooh! Great thread idea. I only saw it once in theatres and weirdly I think the stone table is my favorite scene-it was very well done.

misspiggy899
03-31-2008, 09:16 PM
added!
and I get that reaction from everyone.
it's so hard to pick one favorite but I love when they're outside playing, Peter hits Edmund with the ball (he gets hit a lot and I just noticed that. haha) and then they run to find a place to hide. the extened version of that is funnier, too.

Yeah I like the extended part. :) I FLOVE all the war scenes!!! Very, very intense.

"She's faster then she looks!"
I die laughing every time.
The war scenes had me on the edge of my seat the first time I saw it. They're so good!

Idk if I've seen the extended..what version DVD do you guys have?
oh man..fave scene..it has to be when Edmund is stabbed by the White Witch..him trying to stop her from getting to Peter was so sweet..but when Pete sees her do it and charges..the look...it's like...AH DAMN!!!
misspiggy899
03-31-2008, 10:06 PM
Peter is freakin' fierce when he sees Edmund trying to take on the White Witch!
I have a few versions/DVDs, actually. I have the "normal" one disc thing and I have the four disc extended edition. It's in a big silver box. I wanted the bookend gift set but it was a tad expensive. haha
BellaBlack
03-31-2008, 10:12 PM
I didn't get any of the special editions with the cool covers and etc  too expensive but I do have the 2 disc edition haha.
misspiggy899
03-31-2008, 10:18 PM
I might have the two disc, too. I really have no idea which is horrible, I know.
But my dad likes widescreen and I like full frame (on some things) so that's one of the reasons for so many different copies. We're DVD obsessed, too.
BellaBlack
03-31-2008, 10:32 PM
I love full screen myself so dont worry
misspiggy899
03-31-2008, 10:42 PM
I like full screen for the tv in my room since it's smaller. :]
And I officially love youtube. I've been looking up old cast interviews and such. They're all so adorable!

I FLOVE that part too!!! Another one of my fave Ed/Peter moments! :)
I have the one in the silver box, I love it! For a couple of days I was kept busy watching the yummy extras. :)

All I'm doing this week for spring break is watching every extra feature! It's making me even more excited for PC, which I didn't think was possible at this point.

So who else absolutely adores the war scene at the beginning of the film? I LOVE that they added that so much!
misspiggy899
04-02-2008, 10:26 PM
it really is an amazing scene.
and sets up the movie so well.
Captain oats 13
04-03-2008, 09:02 AM
ITA. Not only does it start off with a bang, it helps introduces the characters, you know?
misspiggy899
04-03-2008, 12:15 PM
exactly. you already know that Edmund doesn't listen to anyone, really.

I want to hear him talk more!
He doesn't have many lines in the PC trailers.

04-03-2008, 05:19 PM
Nooope. But I have hope when I see the awesome picture of him with two swords kicking ass!

This movie was good, but it moved so slow...
misspiggy899
04-06-2008, 09:29 PM
I definitely didn't find it slow. It is pretty long, though.
Captain oats 13
04-06-2008, 09:54 PM
Hmm..I didn't find it too slow. I definetly can't think of any scenes that were not necesarry to the film. :ponder:
BellaBlack
04-06-2008, 09:57 PM
I think it was the proper length for the movie.
Captain oats 13
04-06-2008, 09:58 PM
I agree. Do we have an idea yet of how long PC is going to be?
misspiggy899
04-07-2008, 09:33 AM
I haven't heard how long PC will be. I'd think it'd be about the same as LWW.
BellaBlack
04-07-2008, 02:17 PM
I checked imdb.com and found no time.
Captain oats 13
04-07-2008, 04:47 PM
That sucks. It's probably over two hours at least. :ponder:
BellaBlack
04-07-2008, 08:14 PM
I'm guessing that for sure as well.
Captain oats 13
04-07-2008, 09:36 PM
I just re-watched the beginning of LWW and I admit I loved some of the scenes at the beginning before Narnia then some when they were at Narnia. I always love the pure family moments.
BellaBlack
04-07-2008, 10:03 PM
they were cute, as minor as they were. I wonder how much outside Narnia scenes we get in PC.
Captain oats 13
04-07-2008, 11:23 PM
Well, I just started PC and if they stay true to the book, none. The second page of the book they are in Narnia and I don't believe we see them out of Narnia at the end.
BellaBlack
04-07-2008, 11:58 PM
haha I got that impression by the trailer they look like they are on a train somewhere and then boom Narnia. but say nothing else..man it's April already I have to start reading PC!!
Captain oats 13
04-08-2008, 08:56 AM
Yeah, the teaser looks quite faithful to the book so far.. The train station, then the island.. looks good.
I am not far into the book but it's good so far! Not that much has happened but it's definetly interesting.
extreme_cowgirl
04-08-2008, 05:35 PM
I love the books... sometimes there are so many details that don't seem so important at the time but as you keep reading you find yourself seeing where they all fit in. You have those "oh" moments where you just totally get it. Also some of the details also play into the other books which is really cool.
Yaa, the movie does look like it is going to be faithful to the book. I'm sure it will be, The lion the witch and the Wardrobe was very faithful to the book for the most part. I think in every movie they will have to change things or leave out things from the book. But they do a pretty good job with adapting the books to movies so far.
misspiggy899
04-08-2008, 09:26 PM
I didn't even think that there wouldn't be any outside Narnia time. You're definitely right!
Captain oats 13
04-09-2008, 01:53 PM
I kind of wish there would be, to find out perhaps what happened in the last year?
BellaBlack
04-09-2008, 02:41 PM
yeah same here :(
Captain oats 13
04-09-2008, 02:42 PM
Maybe they will add some scenes for the movie?
misspiggy899
04-09-2008, 09:23 PM
yea, that might be something they add in for the movie.
Captain oats 13
04-10-2008, 09:15 AM
Hopefully. That's one thingi didn't really like about the book; We know nothing of what they have done this past year.
misspiggy899
04-10-2008, 02:28 PM
Maybe they just went to school for the year?
They look like they're in school clothes at the train station.
BellaBlack
04-10-2008, 02:33 PM
yeah I noticed..probably nothing too special we missed until they go to Narnia again
Captain oats 13
04-10-2008, 04:26 PM
Yeah, they were all heading to boarding school. That's pretty much all the information that was given.
BellaBlack
04-10-2008, 06:10 PM
their dad survived the war right?
Captain oats 13
04-11-2008, 09:03 AM
They didn't even mention him or their mother in PC so i guess.
BellaBlack
04-11-2008, 07:17 PM
 I hope so it was a small emphasis in Narnia
Captain oats 13
04-11-2008, 09:46 PM
So.. LWW!!
Who else thought Tilda did an amazing job as the white witch?
misspiggy899
04-12-2008, 09:59 AM
Tilda was good, I guess, I just don't like her. >_<
She's too weird for me.
BellaBlack
04-12-2008, 01:17 PM
Haha same here. I liked the actess I just didn't like the character so I suppose she did a good job?
misspiggy899
04-13-2008, 11:03 AM
I don't like anything Tilda does, really.
Captain oats 13
04-13-2008, 07:56 PM
Yeah, that's what I meant. That Tilda was amazing as the white witch.
misspiggy899
04-13-2008, 10:31 PM
yea. haha. she was a very good (creepy) White Witch.
Captain oats 13
04-15-2008, 09:29 AM
I think she owned the stone table scene.
misspiggy899
04-17-2008, 10:29 PM
That was definitely a good White Witch scene!
Captain oats 13
04-17-2008, 10:52 PM
I thought she acted it so well; so cold and brutal.
BellaBlack
04-17-2008, 11:31 PM
Ugh yeah I definitely hated her then..
Captain oats 13
04-18-2008, 01:38 PM
Yes..that is quite the appropriate feeling.

1st book was better than the second
my favorite charater was lucy and mr. tomaus

04-28-2008, 11:24 PM
I agree, the Harry Potter series definitely has more umph to it. But Narnia on the other hand, is really getting some good reviews too.
