Controversial pictures of teen actress MILEY CYRUS caused the website of U.S. magazine Vanity Fair to crash - after a surge of Internet users keen to see the shots logged online.

Vanity Fair magazine's website logged more than four million hits on Monday
(27Apr08) and had to temporarily shut down the site to surfers who wanted to see the Hannah Montana star's saucy shots.

The 15-year-old posed for the Vanity Fair magazine shoot wearing nothing but a blanket wrapped around her chest.

But the pictures - taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz - have caused outrage in her native America, released just a week after candid snaps of the singer/actress posing provocatively in lingerie were leaked on the Internet.
