American actor ASHTON KUTCHER has hit out at critics who called his relationship with actress DEMI MOORE a publicity stunt to boost his career.
The star remembers the media backlash when he started dating Moore - 15-years his senior - in 2003, and the scores of tabloid articles which branded their romance a fake.
But the 30-year-old, who is now married to the Ghost actress, scoffs at the stories, insisting his career was going "fine" when the pair first met.
He says, "I remember people thinking we were together for commercial reasons, but I don't think I gave a s**t. My Career was doing fine when I met Demi."
