Jasper Hale Appreciation Thread #1: b/c he's a true southern gentlemen

To be honest, I don't know why I picked him out as my favorite - there weren't all that many Jasper fans when Twilight came out, but I was drawn to him. He's raw, dangerous, and mysterious. His story was one of the last to be revealed, and I personally think it was well worth the wait. I adore him, and I'm so happy Jackson got cast for the part! I didn't know a lot about Jackson, actually, until he was. That's the point where I started doing my research, haha, to make sure my favorite was being covered, and I'd say he's in good hands. What do you guys think?

I agree! Jasper was always one of my favourites even before the movie was cast. After Edward and Bella, the most important casting to me was Jasper - and I certainly wasn't disappointed! He was one of the last characters to be cast and I can't tell you how relieved I was when Jackson was :D

I really loved Jasper's chapter in Eclipse, as well as his scenes in all the other books... and I can't wait until they're played out on screen!

See, Jasper was my absolute favorite, and so I was a bit finicky when it came to casting. I had this image in my head I knew no actor could ever portray. :lol: I'm stubborn. But I fell in love with Jackson! He's so cute, and so sweet.

Jasper's chapter in Eclipse was my favorite part in all of the books. I love when they talk about Jasper and Alice showing up at the house, too. So cute!

Jackson and Alice were my favorite in the books and when I found out Jackson was playing Jasper, I flipped. It was embarrassing because I had just finished my AP testing and was sitting in the corner of a completely silent library with my boyfriend and best friend when she told me.

Jasper is my favorite in the books, I mean sure I LOVE Edward and Bella and Alice but I just love Jasper to pieces and truthfully I don't even know why :lol: We don't get too much of him in the books but I got so excited when when I'd get to a Jasper part. I guess I could say though that he is tied as my favorites with those 3 haha It's too hard to pick a favorite when it comes to Twilight

Jackson seems great for the part! I haven't seen him in anything before though but he seems kind of perfect for the role. Looking forward to the movie.

Jasper is quickly becoming one of my fav characters. I think mainly because of what i've seen jackson rathbone bring to the character. He's so cute and quirky, in reference to jackson, although jasper is obviously adorable as well. Yay! I'm so excited!

I liked Jasper in the books because he was so calm and yet he was the scariest of the Cullens, but Jackson Rathbone has made Jasper my favorite. He is so beautiful and I am glad Stephenie changed his name from Ronald to Jasper, it's a much more attractive name.

I'm a huge Jasper fan!! <3 I think he's such a great character in the books and I don't think the Cullen family is complete without him and Alice together. In Twilight, I was always itching to learn more about him, but I did love the part after the baseball game where he tells Bella she's wrong. I lovelovelove that part.

There are so many other parts too especially of him and Alice together so bascially I just love him and I'm so glad they chose Jackson to play his part in the movie. I think he'll be really great at it and I can't wait for the movie.

I love Jasper! Though Jackson is exactly how I pictured Jasper, I think he'll do quite well in that role. At least, from what little scenes I've seen from all the Twilight tidbits that are out so far. The movie is coming really soon!!! Can't wait!!! >.<
